Wind Chill is zero.

Temp is 19 degrees. Wind chill is at zero.

Bright sunshine.

I'm going to ride the Gold Wing.

My goal is to ride it longer than it takes me to get all my gear on and off :-)

Then gas it up, put Stabil in and change the oil. I think she'll be covered until February when it's better riding weather...

Jeez, Doc. I won't even take a people powered bike out on that kind of day. For a guy who hates the cold, ya got balls o' brass.

I hate winter. This is my way of giving it the middle finger.

FWIW The Wing has heated seats, grips, and leg and foot warming vents driven off heat exchangers on the exhaust headers. It has a huge windshield, and I'll be wearing Gerbing heated gear and cold weather gear on top of that. Sort of cheating. I'll let you all know how it goes.

I rode the tractor today. Pulled the sled on the 1 inch of snow we got. It was about 12 when we went out. I don't know what the wind chill is today. Its cold.

Winter is another sign of a cursed Earth. Adam and Eve were naked in the Garden of Eden. Try riding naked on the Gold Wing, and see how many body parts you lose.

I'd lose ALL my parts, starting with the ones I treasure the most!

I had a GREAT ride!

The Gerbings kept me warm in temps less than 16 degrees. I was cozy, and had the Gerbing jacket liner turned up halfway and the gloves 1/2-3/4 depending on my speed. At lower speeds my hand actually got too hot. I also had the grip heaters and seat heaters on part way. The foot and leg warmers were on.

I rode 2 hours. The only time I was cold was when I took off my gloves to take these pictures :-)

So......

If you wanna ride in very cold weather, I advise good wind protection and top notch electric riding gear.

The Gold Wing's temprature readout.

Goldie :-)

I'm glad you had a nice ride. I spent a good part of the day shoveling snow; we got about 4 inches of the white stuff.

We only got a inch. The leafblower works well on that.

Kansas sounds pretty nice. They received 5 inches of snow in Corvallis, Oregon, which is astounding. I sincerely wish 'global warming' were true; I hate winter.
