That pit bike looks like a lot of fun!

Those are a blast to ride. Son of Weldangrind's second bike was very similar.

Looks like a lot of fun.
I'd pick one up to keep at the airport to buzz around visit friends and cause general havoc.

I have been mulling over picking one of the ‘bargain basement' pit bikes available here in the US from SSR. For my son, but he will have to wait until I get off it.

I changed the wheels from 14" / 12" to 17"/ 14" as Son of Weldangrind grew, and he rode it until he hit six feet. It had the typical China bike issues, including poor swingarm bushings, which I replaced with Honda stuff. It was a really fun and reliable little bike, once it was dialed in.

It's not to bad... "for the prise"
but it's NOT with out it's issues... steering head is either to tight or no grease... Prob a bit of both.. right foot peg sits on a forward faceing angle... rear brake lever sits above the foot peg & has no hight adjustment.. only 2 front mudguard "fender" bolts line up with the holes in the bottom yoke.. THE CHAIN IS TO SHORT... won"t let the swing arm swing through it full stroke.. guess I have a bit of work ahead of me to get it rideable... PS.... What size is the chain on these, theres no markings on the chain...... 420 or 428??? .

Mostly usual stuff, except the short chain, that's a new one on me...
Every CB I've had so far used a 428, although YMMV... Where are the pics for crying out loud?? LOL!

X2 on 428. I actually changed the chain to 420 on Son of Weldagrind's bike when I regeared it. The reason was that I had more selection in the 420 size, and I needed to slow my fearless 12 yo down. All he wanted to do was run WOT.
Are you going to be able to manipulate the brake lever?

Yes have it under control... where the brake lever comes up and hits the bottom
of the foot peg bar... i will weld a small plate to the brake lever tapped for a 6mm bolt /lock nut... to give adjustment to the hight it sits at... will cut the foot peg mount plate of at the same time & realine it... Ps... almost need to strip the frame , grind the welds out & reweld it.. Pss... The stand is a bit to long... to easy for it to fall over on uneven ground... all this is bringing back memorys of the dam Shineray 200... PICS... will try..but I bought a house in the middle of almost nowhere... internet is sloooooooooow it times out trying to up load sometimes.. .

Caleb had his first play on the new toy 2day...
Didn't take him long to get to grips with a manual clutch.. now it's just rideing time.. It went well... Apart from every now and then the chain would jump a few teeth on the front sprocket... played with chain tension but did help.... I took the side cover off.... The 13 tooth front sprocket is to small .. the 2 retaining bolts are 2 close to the teeth & the chain rides on them lifting it of the sprocket letting it slip.. So have ordered a 15 tooth front & 48 tooth rear... Should put the gearing just slightly lower than the 13/41 it has by 1 tooth... got to shorten the stand..to long , the bike keeps falling over... And its dam hard motor to find nutural in... hopeing that will sort it self as the gear box losens up... He's only realy used 1st gear so far.. We will get this little chinese shitter sorted... Motor goes real well .. took 3 kicks to get it started from new...

Terrific pics!
Son of Weldangrind had the same bike, and I actually changed the front sprocket to a 12 tooth. The secret was to swap to stainless socket head cap screws, which gave the chain the clearance it needed.
