With an 8 foot box?

I've been thinking the same thing. My Sierra is a single cab with an 8' box, but the cab is too small. This week, I had a chance to measure both an extended cab and a double cab Sierra / Silverado, and they have a box that is about 6'6".
I plan to carry Lifanda and another bike (maybe the TW) in the box, while I tow my 26' trailer, and still be able to have three or four people in the cab. I'd like a 5.3l, but I'd also take a 6.0. I'd prefer a 2WD, and either a 1500HD or a 2500. Maybe I can find one this year for the cash I can part with. I'm happy with a high miler, since it won't be a daily driver. |
Here is a cash truck. I could use this for a couple years until we have the corolla paid off and then upgrade to a newer one.
http://www.route66autoorphanage.com/...247316382.veh# I think the 5.3 would be up to the task. Might be lacking on some large hills. I have own regular cab trucks and determined they don't work for anyone that is not single. |
I didn't see the truck you're pointing to, only a page with several vehicles on it. I would love to have the 5.3. My 4.8 does what I need, but it doesn't like hills with the trailer behind.

I bought a 96 Chevy today. Old cheap tech. 258K miles. Runs likes a new one.
Blower fan only works on high and the AC does not work. System has pressure so my guess is that is something simple. Bought it. Stopped a dumpster across the street. Loaded up some goodies and then picked up some goat feed. http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...psbc912fb1.jpg Had to make a cover for the gooseneck hole. http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...psff12ac31.jpg |
Good score! Does it have the 4.3, 5.0 or 5.7? Son of Weldangrind has a '98 with a 4.3 that looks just like yours. His has a five speed.
The heater motor resistor pack has failed. When that happens, the default is no resistance, which means high speed. This might be the one: http://www.napaonline.com/Catalog/Ca...R76_0239905447 |
It has a 5.7l. Lots of power. I will be stopping at oreillys for a resistor and some light bulbs.
