The car is actually for sale and I have priced it to sell at $4500. The car has been valued at $7000 as it sits. I have received one call about it but he would like to hear it run, before committing to a purchase. My buddy Curt and I will be trying to get it started Mon or Tues. Honestly, I'd rather not sell it but anytime that I can make fast money on something like this, I will. I'd use the money to buy the M715, if it did sell.
If I keep the TR6, it will either be BRG or Red. And I will not leave it stock. I'd like to keep the stock 6-cylinder but a T5 will replace the stock 4-speed. A Nissan R200 diff and CV axles will replace the rear axle components. These are all bolt-in pieces. The engine would probably get a new cam, a shaved head and EFI. New wiring is a must have upgrade. If it doesn't sell, I'm content with this being my only project. I need to get something finished. We'll just see what happens! I don't fall in love with them. This one does hold a special place with me. I have always wanted one of these cars. The 1972 is one of the best. I think $4500 is a steal on this one. It should already be gone! I have nothing near that in it. SamM |
I am too broke. Wife needs a better job. Also I am thinking 5.0 Mustang. It was the car when I was in high school.

I tried to get my mom to co-sign for me to buy a new 1980 Triumph Spitfire, when I graduated high school. I was working and had my own money. The car that I ended up with was a 1972 Pontiac GTO. I'm still trying to figure out the thinking there.
The TR6 will probably not sell. I hope to keep it. SamM |
The car I wanted as my 1st car was a 1980 Spitfire, in BRG. :D
I wound up with a 1978 Fiat 131 Mirafiori, which was fortunate. As prone to entropy as the Fiats were, they looked rock sollid relaible compared to the British cars of the era. |
Back in 1985, I purchased a new Mustang GT 5.0 Liter 5-speed. It was a great car and the last of the Holley carbed Mustangs. Did lots of street racing with it. The GTO was much faster.

A guy down the street from me is restoring a 5.0 Fox body Mustang. I'll have to drop in on him and say hi.

You don't want that! It's a girls car! Automatics are for girls!

I would find me one with a manual. Its the mustang or a samurai.

My '85 had true dual exhaust and the Holley carb. The '86 had EFI.
