In CT motorcycle sales are hurting, nobody is paying MSRP around here.

The CB500X lists for 6599+330 doc fee=6929
The RX3 lists for 3895+55 doc + 345 assembly, shipping & pedicure fee=4295

That's a 2634 difference here.

I got a deal on my bike because it was a new model and few people around here knew what it was. It was also a holdover and the dealer couldn't sell it. They had little faith that it would sell because of the CBR500R. I made them an offer and they took it. Since I've bought my '14 CB-X in 2015, they have sold a few dozen.

I can relate to that. I want to take a trip from Missori to Oregon and back to visit my brother before health issues catch up with me, as well. Preferably, this summer. That's one of the reasons for getting a bike with a little more touring capability.... a CB500X or Kaw Versys. I like the Suzuki VStrom 650 but the wheelbase is too long to fit in my short bed F150 while pulling a travel trailer.
