Sucks about the damage, but I'm sure they'll make good on it for ya
|
Hate to hear about the damage....but just remind yourself this is why you saved a buttload of cash on a damn good bike...others have had cosmetic issues and have been taken care of...I'm betting you will too. Again...congrats on the bike and the memories you're already making.

I just filed a claim on the site . Hopefully they will make good. If not oh well it's only cosmetic and I will fix it myself

Glad she's home kipper. Mine was R&L and was not on a pallet, but the crate was in decent shape. We all have to remember these originally shipped from china and have changed hands several times.
Taking my time with mine. Doing a video of the progress. |
very anoyed NOW
Well now im annoyed. I just got home from work and try to get it on a stand to work on it for a bit when...............
I tried do get the front axle bolt out of the forks and the crate only to realize it is bent bad and took me 30min to get it out without damaging the forks. Somehow I have a feeling i wont find a replacement locally tomorrow so I can get some miles on this bike this weekend. >:(>:(>:( http://i344.photobucket.com/albums/p...psmevt31jd.jpg http://i344.photobucket.com/albums/p...psm5qqm7uy.jpg |
I'd go ahead and change the fork oil kipper. I did mine this evening and I'm glad I did. While the oil they have in there didn't look terrible, it was dark. Much easier to do now.

What the heck are these shippers doing to these bikes!! It's like they are playing football with it using their fork lifts.
Someone make it stop. |
The Hawk comes with an axle bolt in the parts bag instead of using the one fastening the bike to the crate.

No there was only one axle bolt and that's the one that secured it to the crate however the nut that held it to the crate was temporary
|
That really sucks. Maybe you can get one from a bike dealer?
Or order it from CSC http://www.cscmotorcycles.com/TT250-...HEEL-s/351.htm |
I'm going to do that today I have 3 major Motorsport dealers and 2 mom and pop repair shops within 10 miles. I'm going to try the mom and pop ones first.
|
Just bring it to a fastener supplier ,I bet your many local dealers will be thrilled to get you out of a jam on a bike you ordered online .
