that's a bugger! I've ordered a 42mm pod filter.
The guys from Kustom Kommune thought I could just get bigger jets for the current carby, like what they did with the ace125 ooracing kits |
maybe they know where?
otherwise, given that u do some mods anyway, the mikuni isn t very expensive, you can get it for 80 aussie dollars from xmoto, http://xmotos.com.au/ you also may need an intake (bolt on on both sides) as well. space maybe an issue, but one could measure or find out from a raptor mod page? the jets for the mikuni u can order from ian williams motorsport in south australia, he s got all sizes under the sun: http://www.ianwilliamstuning.com.au/mikunipartsjets/ last time i spoke to him he said he doesn t deal in keihin parts |

As for ooracing have you emailed to ask? What about drilling the jets, is that a bad option if replacement jets cannot be found for the stock carb? |
yes, ooracing have been contacted, have to just remove jets and send them photo
|
Can you upload the photo here so I can see what they look like?
Maybe these guys could help if ooracing is a dead end http://www.skyteamparts.com/ |
You can certainly drill out the main jet with a numbered drill bit set, but not the slow jet. Bits don't come that small.

This 30mm Mikuni is only 44 Australian dollars, and the shipping is free. I've purchased several of these.

So the jet's in these will be fine as is with a new air pod filter and exhaust? Gentlemen, today I put the Black Wombat back together Behold the Black Wombat! China Quality, Brazilian Ass! We removed the granny Knickers and put on a form hugging g-string. And boy does she holler!! |
she s looking good! you could also wrap the header pipe and of course you ll still need the apehangers :-) can i have a close up of the middle section, where you took off the side covers?
the mikuni will probably come with jets a bit smaller than what you want, but changing them is easy. |
oh, and a beefy aluminium bashplate would look good.
and ok, maybe not apehangers, just sth slightly higher? to give you even more of that contemporary scrambler look. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ducati_Scrambler |
sorry haven't really got a close up of the middle section. Leaving one side cover on on the exhaust side ( to hide electronics) and leaving the other off ( to show off rear shock)
|
no worries, some other time! :-)
|
Nice work, looks a tone better then stock
|
now it sounds like a bike! https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v...84806957&saved
