I have been searching for a smaller rear sprocket for my Magician also. Can't find one. My solution is to get a JT sprocket P/N JTR269.40, and then using my original sprocket for a hole pattern, drill six mounting holes, and use spacers between the sprocket and the hub. By my rough calculations, the 40 tooth will work. Also, the center hole on the JT sprocket is larger than the one on the original, so it will not be a factor. Not a perfect solution, but for my riding style at my age should work just fine.

At 78 years old, still enjoying motorcycles.

Welcome aboard Old Timer! I'm no spring chicken at 60 plus a few and I hope I'm still in the saddle at your age! A have a Magician and I have thought a lot about the sprocket. It is the weak area of this bike and it needs a 40 rear badly so I hope you can figure it out. It's gonna be close given the design. Rather than do it yourself I would suggest you contact these people and see if they can make you one. For the money I do not think you can beat it. Something I was gonna do I have not gotten around to. Let us know how it works out.

Spirit Feather, I just posted on another thread this info. I just replaced the rear sprocket on my Magician with a 40 tooth. If their is any interest, I'll post the details.
