Put it together this afternoon.

Not the best pictures as I was too excited riding it to take any while the light was still good.

Headlight is a 35 watt halogen and is very bright!

I was pleasantly surprised to see that the bike came with a tool kit, software and the USB to EFI adapter needed to use the software!!

Tools included. Not many, but they seem pretty well made.

Bike has a nice dash.

The tachometer has a cool feature where it holds the last shift rpm for a second as you go through the gears. The picture isn't very clear, but the screen is. It has a gear shift indicator, Neutral light, and high beam indicator which I find nice to have.

We weighed the bike using a crane scale and suspended it from the ceiling. Without the headlight, handguards and mirrors it weighed 266 lbs (120.6 kg). With all the accessories it weighed 271 lbs (122.9 kg). So it is a bit porkier than advertised, just like all the "big name" bikes we have weighed in the past.

The good news is that it feels much lighter than the tale of the scale.

First startup

The bike comes with a bottle of blue coolant that says "Volkswagen Accessary Genuine Parts".

We filled the radiator and had a bit left over.

Oil level is read via site glass or window on the case cover. I'm not a huge fan of that, but we will see how it goes. One minor complaint is that it is a tough motor to add oil to because of the exhaust routing. Might need to get creative there.

Fresh fuel was added; it was obvious that some old fuel was left in from the factory. Bad smells for sure.

The biggest surprise came when we opened the battery box and found a super lightweight Lithium battery from the factory!! Score!

We also pulled the air filter out as it seemed a bit dry. (no oil) Access is through the left side cover with 2 screws and it looks like a standard filter and said "Twin Air" on the grommet. There is a plastic frame and mesh screen similar to other brands. Filter was oiled and put back in.

The motor fired up right away, but was obviously very rich. The bike struggled to idle. This is probably due to the 4700+ foot altitude here vs. the close to sea level factory where the bike was last started.

We decided to ride it up and down the street and allow the EFI to try tuning it in. (Did I mention that this bike has an Oxygen sensor too?) After we had things warmed up and the EFI did its thing, we were able to adjust the idle air screw on the throttle body and get a nice steady idle. Restarting was super quick and the motor made no bad sounds.

Wow, so you can program the f.i. tune ???

Amazing.

Is this the back door device into the rx3?

Can you show the input port to the bikes controller? This is interesting.

The quality of that bike, just from the pics, looks leaps and bounds over what the hawk and enforcer look like... It's crazy how much better quality it looks. I'm embarrassed by my bike after seeing those pics

theres a little trick you can do....

put a 1 ohm pentometer in one of the wires then at the twist of a nob
you can tell lies to the ECU about the air temp... the ECU will richen or lean
the air/fuel ratio.... everything still works as normal but at a higher or lower
air temp ratio than what it really is...

i have one on my Yamaha XT660R.... if i'm just cruseing I lean the A/F out a bit.
or come to a hill or offroad I richen it up....
