Thanks for that Moto, I will go for the 810-43 which will bring the ratio with a 17 drive to around 2.5 and the chain length should be vitually uneffected. I will post about how it works out when I put it together. I would be hard put to find any dirt roads is my area but plenty of paved back roads and I would like to cruise at a reasonable speed without going over 6000 revs.

Glad to help. I also just spotted this 42 tooth on eBay for $18 + free shipping.
(Would be 2.47 instead of 2.53)

Following up on your post, this link (a 38 tooth 810) shows the actual dimensions for you Lifan owners:https://www.ebay.com/itm/40158287799...Cclp%3A2563228

Taht 42 tooth sprocket shows no dimentions or chain pitch, If you do their compatabliyy check it says will not fit the x-pect. I have orderd the 43 tooth and we will take it from there.

It seems to me that in the interest of engine longevity you would be wise to go with the absolute smallest rear sprocket you can use in your driving conditions. When I finally get my X-Pect, I want to try the 17/42 combination for just puttering around town. I intend to use this bike like someone would use a scooter. I would have purchased one of those but I've seen 50-year-old dudes on scooters and I don't want to be one of those guys. Dual-sport bikes are way more manly.

Lifan gearing

Thanks all for starting this thread. It seems the xpect gearing is pretty personal as other threads don't want to give up the offroad torque. I choose the 17/43 for my 2022 based on suggestions for more roadworthiness and love it! 17/46 showed nice mph gain while dropping rpm, but was a bit sluggish in between gear acceleration. Tackled the 43 from England and its a nice mix. Havent trying off-road yet, but 90% of my riding will be on road anyway. That and the muffler swap were the best mods so far...stock is just obnoxiously huge and severely limits saddle bag use. Sound is so much better, sounds solid and throaty for a 200. Very happy.

Front sprocket: JTF1264.17 https://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/A...im/refuge08-20

Rear sprocket: JTR810.42 https://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/A...im/refuge08-20

Both available on Amazon. Just input the part # without the size after the decimal point to see all the sizes available. Personally I felt that 60 mph on the X-pect was kinda unstable. The KPX OTOH is very solid at 65. Also if geared too high, hills are gonna be a problem.

True dat.

As far as sprockets, I'd suggest just putting the 17 on with the stock 46 rear and see how you like it for puttering. Better acceleration, and top speed/revs is not a concern.

What muffler are you running? Thanks
