Yeah, I saw those, but those are all Lifan Sport bikes and Pitbikes. The Lifan GY2 and GY5's are gone.

The dealer in the local area may be asking 2k for the bike but I bet if you check he's put it together better than most . maybe even used a little lock tight. I have heard no end to the complaining about this grey market / no service/ dont return my calls, dealer??? Lets all think this through, how many truely legitemate businesses do not operate out of a store front! or at the very least have the ability to serve you from there shop! If someone is willing to take the time and expense to set up shop build a client base and provide a service (parts, knowledge etc..) Then wouldn't you in his shoes expect to make a profit ! We all want a better value for our buck but you rolls the dice you takes your chances! so the fact that lifan is trying to be a legitamate business shouldn't upset so many people , there is still no shortage of grey/no support bikes out there. Just remember no bodys making you pay $500 less. United motors has gone the same route not alot of grey bikes around, more money, yet no complaints!!curious ??? a legit business ???

If I had the dough for a UM, I'd just buy two Hi-Birds! Then you don't have to hope it breaks down to get your money's worth! :lol: :lol: :lol:

like I said, I have a damn nice 07 gy-5...runs like a freakin top!!!! performace air filter, jet, and 42 tooth sprocket, include a 50 tooth sproket, you can have th whole thing, cash and carry..2500.00 btw...this bike has been nurtured. Yep thats where we got ours from and really no problems at all with the purchase part but that was 2 years ago sooo.....

The bikes came right to our driveway and were unloaded and the paperwork came and was enough for the SOS to do their thing but they did look at it a bit funny but still processed it.
Ours are from China Lifan and EVOsales is/was backed by A&A scooters or atleast thats what was on our MSO as I remember it.(No AmericanLifan crap on the MSO)
Unless we find that American Lifan was selling to a whole bunth of these dealers as it seems could be the case now.Maybe some of these dealers ticked off American Lifan by buying from China Lifan to save cost and cut A.L. out.(we may never know the true story)

Just a thought but are China Lifans more Lifan than American Lifan's. :lol: :lol:

Yeah back when we bought ours oh over two years ago things were a little different mainly there was just talk of 250's but maybe DD is on their affiliate list is why he posted that IDK.

EVOsales appears to still have the GY's but they are looking a bit dated and cost a bit more than what we paid for ours when we bought them.

If I knew then what I know now about the whole china bike thing I might have just waited it out or bought some jap bikes. :lol:
