1. I was just checking on availability, and it looks like no one has them right now. Not Amazon or xprousa.com. Hope you can find one somewhere.

2. I'm turning 74 and have zero arthritis. Arthritis is basically a result of inflammation, which is caused by what we eat. Many foods in the normal American diet cause inflammation. Do a search on "natural remedies for arthritis". Some supplements are very helpful too. And investing some money into a consultation with a good nutritionist would be a very good idea.

Thanks. Re: arthritis, been there and done all of that. Psoriatic arthritis is *not* osteoarthritis. Psoriatic arthritis is an autoimmune disease, like Rheumatoid arthritis or Lupus. Autoimmune diseases are ultimately caused by bad genetics and can be triggered by extreme stress. I was badly abused for over a decade as a child, and my symptoms started when I was 14. My sister has the same disease, and my mother also has psoriasis (an autoimmune skin disease).

OK, but even so, diet can affect whether a latent genetic problem expresses itself or not. That could be true for all three of you if you have similar diets, which exacerbate the problem.

Dusman 04-10-2024 10:48 AM

There’s no question that a proper diet helps. No doubt there. I’ve eaten a Mediterranean diet since I was 15 to help decrease inflammation. My diet has been very clean since then and I’ve still developed 2 other autoimmune diseases in spite of this. The combination of genetics + the stress of being abused for over a decade most likely triggered the disease(s).

TominMO 04-10-2024 10:55 AM

OK. Did you click on the link in #43? Turmeric is great for inflammation, and so are some other supplements. Not the spice in the grocery store, that is too weak. An actual supplement from a health food store.

Surprised that xpro and PSM aren't keeping larger stockpiles of the popular models, this is the 2nd one now thats elusive after the Templar X. Hopefully the resellers dont let it get to their head and start bumping up the prices too much

For what it's worth, the Templar X has gone up $200 since I bought mine in mid February. I paid $1799 before shipping (valentines sale) my buddy bought one from the most recent batch and paid $1849 before shipping, and the last ones I saw before they went out of stock were at $1999 before shipping.

TominMO 04-10-2024 11:51 AM

The YT guy Mikefestiva who did a review on these bikes might have been a factor in getting a lot of them sold more quickly than normal.

Just a few thoughts on my 150 DLX…seat height 35”, tire pressure front 32 rear 30, tires say 32 max but book says 18-20, agree with the manual! Oil change, 28 Oz came out 26 went back in because the dipstick shows high otherwise. Battery tested 13v, fine with me! Battery is sealed and the brand is Top Liyang 6MF4L. Sorry for not spacing, no keyboard on my IPad. Nice bike and quality! My thoughts…more later :yay:

I was mixed up with the oil as the book says .6L and when I added that it was too little. I've since settled on 800ml as the amount for fill and have changed the oil at 0mi, 10mi and 100mi. Next will be at 500mi intervals

panzer77 04-11-2024 10:43 AM

Just a heads up, as of this morning, PSM has the black version available. Price is $999.95

TominMO 04-11-2024 10:46 AM

https://www.powersportsmax.com/produ...ducts_id/25177

Plus $300 shipping.

tknj99 04-11-2024 11:42 AM

Seems the price has gone up about $10 in the past month, no biggie there. At the time I saved $50 by purchasing via xprousa instead of psm. They r the same outfit so purchase from whichever has it in stock and cheapest

J4Fun 04-11-2024 12:10 PM

Mine from Xpro was 1299.95 delivered and this was a few weeks ago.

tknj99 04-11-2024 12:41 PM

If Xpro restocks it'll be $1259 delivered. It was $1250 when i purchased last month with free shipping.

:)A couple of thoughts here, the kickstart is a bit loose on the shaft and no I’m not going to break the bolt trying to tighten it, does anyone else have this problem? The headlight mount does need a spacer to aim it down a bit more. Great idea on the license plate lights, but noticed on mine it doesn’t have side reflectors either front and back. Not a problem because I’m in FL. Got everything done chain adjusted and did a start up this morning between rain drops an it ran great! Again I’m still very impressed with bike…my thoughts

The kickstart on mine is tight. I haven't used it so maybe thats why lol. I haven't adjusted the headlight, good catch though as i'd imagine its similar as far as aim, will have to check.

tknj99 04-11-2024 04:53 PM

Update: swapped out to a 17T front sprocket as it still needed some more top end, plus first is basically a super-low gear and runs out of steam fast. Will test when weather cooperates and see if the 17T is a keeper or if the 16T was the sweet spot. Unlike some of the other China bikes, this change did not require any grinding of the sprocket cover to make it fit. With the 17T the chain is tight in a couple of spots when on the kickstand, when compressed it has the proper range of tightness; will leave as is pending a road test.

tknj99 04-12-2024 09:56 AM

Update: decided against the 17T after the road test. Although i could now hit 60mph on the speedo max on a downhill, it would lose too much speed on inclines and the motor couldn't overcome it. With the 16T back on i can hit 57mph max but sustain speed much better on inclines.

J4Fun 04-12-2024 05:00 PM

Yeah I agree that the 16t would be the best. Here in FL everything is relatively flat so it seems the right gearing. If it doesn’t scream at 50 that would be great! Btw got the title and plate today:)

That's awesome, glad it was an easy registration for you.. In Florida, id say the 17T would probably work very well opposed to here in VA, there's mountain passes and alot of windy hilly roads to contend with...
I think the deceptive thing now that i think of it is that everywhere its listed for sale it says fast with speeds up to 65 mph +... maybe that the case with an 80 pound rider with stock gearing... it should really say 50+ depending on rider weight

To those folks that maybe interested I noticed that the Storm 150 DLX is available at XProUSA. They have them in stock all colors and who knows what other bikes that may have came at the same time:) Just a heads-up…

Yup. Mike Festiva (youtube) has extensive build/reviews on this amazing value. Adult sized with a real swingarm, oil cooler (!), inverted forks (!), folding short shifter, alloy bearclaw footpegs, street legal setup, and braided SS brake lines! So it has 16"/19" wheels, well for $1000 plus shipping, it's nice.

I should snag one but we have long term plans and not currently in big spending mode like some of our members ;) I'd join the bike or two a month club, but currently not quite at the bike a year level for at least another year!

Dusman 04-28-2024 07:53 PM

I just purchased one!

I bought the lime green one. I requested that the MCO say “motorcycle”. It’s going to be fun!

J4Fun 05-01-2024 02:30 PM

Hi guys, just thought I would post that I changed the front sprocket from 14 to 16 and it seems like it’s going to be about right! Dusman, that was the color I wanted, but got the red and like that too! Your going to enjoy the bike and have fun! Ps the chain was long enough for the sprocket change:p

Dusman 05-02-2024 08:49 AM

Nice! I went ahead and purchased a 16T front sprocket and an RK chain with 120 links per Mike Festiva’s video. From what I’ve heard, it seems that the 16T will be the sweet spot indeed. I know that with my kid’s 125cc pit bike, 1st gear is geared so low it’s almost useless, even in the woods….at least for me (I’m 175lbs). Thanks for the input!

ProDigit 05-02-2024 10:52 AM

I recently saw a video of a guy with a dual sport bike like this, weighing in at only 180lbs. Is amazing! 70lbs lighter than my Vader 150.

His had an all aluminum frame, with only accessories and swingarm in steel.

How is ride comfort on this for long rides, and are there any street tires for this?
I might consider this as a third bike.
Just not too fond of most of these bikes mufflers, they're way too loud...

This bike excels at 2 things, being a very local run around bike, ie roads up to 45mph, backyard, trails.. and at being a bike for a beginner to learn on since it's light and a bit lower seat height.. anything else and you need to steps up to the 250s

ProDigit 05-03-2024 10:29 PM

So the seat isn't comfortable, even if you remove the knobbies and put street tires on it?

It's a pretty stiff dirtbike style seat, not the most comfortable.. if there was a comfort seat option out there I'd say go for that for distance riding otherwise flat ass syndrome will be a symptom

The 17T will work fine but if you have any hills, it will present a challenge.. 16T seems to be the sweet spot and at approx $5 per sprocket, easy to afford multiple to swap out as needed

Dusman 05-08-2024 11:39 AM

If your shipping company is R+L Carriers, you can call their local shipping terminal that your bike will be shipping out from and ask to pick it up. You can look on their website and find your local terminal: https://www2.rlcarriers.com/
Just go under “shipment tracing” and type in your Pro Number and it should give you the tracking info.
They have been very easy to work with.

Mumen Rider 05-09-2024 01:32 AM

I ordered my Storm 150 DLX from Powersports Max, took about seven business days to reach me in Tampa, Florida. Most of that time it sat in the carriers local warehouse waiting for a truck to load and deliver it. Received it in great condition, still in the process of going over it and assembling but the heat in my garage is making that difficult. When I have time to work on it, it's 90 degrees even with a drum fan going. Waiting on an amended MSO saying "motorcycle" instead of "off-road motorcycle" so I can register it on the road here.

I have put a 16 tooth front sprocket on it, that shifter from Mike's video and I have some Honda clutch springs for it too. Waiting on my knock off Yosh MJN carb to mount that up.

I’m amazed at how well MaxPro/XPro packages these things and how good a job R+L Carriers did getting it to me birthmark free. I too have the aftermarket shifter recommended by Mike Festiva. I also purchased an RK natural chain (120 links) and a 16 tooth countersprocket. Interestingly, the rear wheel bearings were well greased and the front wheel bearings were bone dry. Thus, I repacked them and then tightened the spokes. This weekend I’ll adjust the valves, change to Rotella T4, do a few heat cycles and an initial break-in, then I’ll probably balance the wheels.

I think it was only a matter of time that the days of shoddy packaging these bikes and the resulting claims and associated costs forced them to package them up to proper standards to save money in the long run.

tknj99 05-09-2024 04:56 PM

Update: fuel mileage stats

On last fill-up I put in .75 gallon and it went 50 miles which translates to approx 67 miles per gallon. The bike holds 1.5 gallons so she should be good for 100 miles to dry, plan to fill-up around 80 miles i'd say to be on the safe side

Those are the exact same figures I'm getting on my Vader 150. Wouldn't surprise me if they both use the same engines.
I did put on a 19t front sprocket, and aftermarket intake and exhaust.

They probably do, although i couldn't imagine being able to fit a 19T front, that and it would have sluggishness, even with the 17T it couldn't handle even slight inclines

Dusman 05-10-2024 08:00 AM

I’m wondering if I’ll have to go with a 15t front sprocket. I purchased the 16t, but I want a mix between road friendliness (can “comfortably” hit 45-50 mph) with trail friendliness.
