Ahh ok WA, so basically the cords coming out of the female connector, that the engine plug plugs into?
ill take some pics and/or make a diagram. |
Yeah they deffinitly arent the same going in as they are coming out. I think the Pink cable on my roketa plug is the white on the lifan engine.
Only The BLUE/WHITE cords match up, and the empty slot. hope this is understandable. Overlapping the two images, would be as if it were plugged in. http://img580.imageshack.us/img580/21/diagramfemale.png |
I believe one can remove the pins in those connectors and reinsert them into the proper location.
You need a small screwdriver to release the pin from the connector and then the wire pulls out. |

This would be a logical cause of my " NO SPARK " issue right? |

Yeah, that is what i'll do, way easier and more forgiving than splicing, especially with the little room i have to work with it.
i'm assuming the WHITE and PINK are the same, seeing as they are the only two wires that are different colors. So it is in the correct position, along with the blue/white wire. Once i have this setup, should i give the spark test another try? |
Do you have an ohmmeter?
|
I might, but i haven't seen it in years, my dad use to have one floating around, not sure where it is at the moment.
If i do find it, what would i do with it? Is it completely necessary? |
You can measure the impedence between pins of the CDI's and compare them. It is a good, although probably not necessary way, to determine where the differences are.
|
well, lets say i don't have one. Would i risk Blowing out my CDI, should i switch the CDI's out?
|
I don't think you can hurt it.
|
Okay, witch plug should i re-arange the wires on, The one coming from the donor engine, or the female one from my DB-06
I'm thinking i should arrange the female port just like the female port on the donor bike. let me know what you guys think. |
ok nevermind, i see the pins Kato mentioned, i changed the female plug, its all in order now, now to try it.
|
YES!!!! I HAVE SPARK!!!!!!!!
Now to attach the gas tank, and try to get it started! YES!!!!!!!!!!! :D :D :D :D |

Great news. Simply wiring issue.
Recommend getting a new copper gasket for the exhaust. Go down to Honda and ask for an xr200r gasket. It should fit. |
Wooo yeah, 4th gear works great!!!!! HAHA!
My bro just got home from work, we're pumped! yeah there is a small gap between the bottom bolt and the gasket. thats gotta be the cause of the air leak. I'll hook you guys up with some videos and pics shortly here today. Seriously guys, thanks for all the help, I would have been so lost, and can almost guarantee i wouldn't have figured it out, For almost everything, I knew nothing, and now i know so much! Looks great, I'm so glad you got it sorted out :D. I'm sure it will serve you well for a long time to come. Weld's favorite engines as well, the pushrod hondoids, excellent engines :). Ride safe and enjoy, after all that work you deserve it! 8)

Yaaayyyy!!!!!!! It runs! :D
Yep, my all-time favourite engine. After you come back to Earth, we should guide you in adjusting the valves. It's super easy, and it might even free up some power. |

Got my bike to hit 64MPH just a bit ago, with ease, it felt like, probably could have went faster, but our turn came up. *added all pics to page #1 This rules. :) |
Congratulations, Gamma! :D Your persistence paid off. ;)
With your engine transplant you now have either a Lifaneta, or a Rockan motorcycle. Spud :) |
