Rekluse swap

While I was swapping the Rekluse EXP 3.0 clutch I decided to change the engagement rpm. The clutch was coming in a little high for my riding style, so I elected to swap the gold springs for lighter blue springs:

Clutch swap

All of the new clutch components from the GPX were swapped into the LXR, including the aluminum spring retainers, fibers, steels, pressure plate, throw out bearing and push rod.

I put the stock clutch perch on and the Otom clutch holder. Tested it all out and it works great!

Always nice when everything just falls in place. Nice job! Glad both patients made it through okay. :hehe:

They both seem to have made full recoveries. If you look closely you can see that they are lying on giant feather pillows I picked up at a yard sale years ago. So, only the best for my patients!

Now it's time to get the bike listed for sale. Duckati, pm me if you're still interested. (I'm leaving the motor alone and not pulling the big-bore).

I'm also leaving the Voyager. The bike will also come with the original dash and a spare set of wheels.

From the test ride...

I can say the NC250 electric start is 1000% tested durable. No issues cranking it through some crappy stuff on occasion. :)

:lmao: now that's how you test a starter.

Why all that effort to go under the tree?

We had to saw a bunch of deadfall all day long and then we ran into that king pine tree down across the trail... Here's why we pushed on:

That's awesome!
Last time I did that to a starter it was in my 66 Ford truck. Ran out of gas at the stop sign across from the gas station. Put it in granny, hit the starter and rolled it all the way to the pump.

Well,

I finally ordered the 4.1 Acerbis (part#2374020147). Looks like I'll need to order the petcock & the little bulkhead fitting for the return line too.

(I noticed some of the images in this thread have disappeared. I guess I'd better try copying the thread before more things vanish.)

Btw, I found the tank on Ebay for $182 shipped and also just got a Giant Loop Movavi saddlebag there for $150 a few days ago.

I will try to get them restored when I get time. Snafu with the server I guess.

Chonda
the NC250 changed/upgraded in design in early 2017 so yes the GPX branded bike will have the newer version engine compared to the PP branded bike which I think was 2016/17 maybe.

Interesting to see the clutch basket having changed as that isn't on the info I have but I don't have everything etc.

Did you change the whole basket n all? that shouldn't be an issue etc.

When I sell the NC250 stuff I always check with the customer what version motor they so it avoids mistakes - brands in the USA or here in China doesn't matter you gotta check the versions of parts or fit the set of things etc (Cam changed in 2016)

I installed the 283 BB all ready, now to start working on a stroker crank. I think 315cc is doable........

There is a 298cc kit available as well with an even bigger 84mm piston.

Nice to see the GPX FS250E with the biggest spec CB motor and I am sure this will rocket much better then the old line up - Zongshen motor.
2T is Lonxin
NC250/450 Zongshen
CB250 Zongshen (this is the highest spec 15Kw & 18Nm version)
