I've never had a false neutral on the RX3 (knock on wood), but I have on other bikes. So I developed two habits with neutral ... 1) Leave it in first at stoplights and hold the clutch, and 2) when changing to neutral, ease out the clutch to see if it pulls before fully releasing the lever.

Even though I have never had a false neutral light, I have been thoroughly taught never to trust it. ;) Therefore, I always ease out the clutch lever whenever I plan to leave the bike running in neutral.
