Got back from shopping, bought Aluminum Screening and Reflectix Bubble Insulation built and installed the faraday cage around that "Smart Meter" (aka "the poison box!"), and also picked up a Bosch 3422 oil filter with 5 quarts of 0w-40 oil for the '97 Geo Metro to finish getting it ready for "Geo Palooza" later this week, anyone else want to join me for a 3,000 mile round trip in a 4 door 70 horse power Metro :hehe:

Picked up an Acer Spin 1 convertible laptop/tablet to use for work. I have been experimenting with different laptops for this purpose. I had been using my Macbook Air for this and probably still will. The Spin 1 is nice that i can fold it back on itself and it becomes a large Windows 10 Tablet. Will post pics once i get a chance.

Bought a universal motorcycle tach/speedo for the Lifan 200. $25 including shipping from Ebay. Installation required cutting and splicing wires but it works well and the quality appears good. Switchable kilometers or miles.

That's the same one I put in the Ural. So far, so good.

Did you ground out the fuel gauge wire to stop the display from flashing or does the Ural have a sending unit? I'm thinking of attaching a 100 ohm or 500 ohm thermistor to the cylinder head which would make it a cylinder head temp gauge.

Nothing I tried to stop the fuel gauge from flashing worked. I just ignore it.

These arrived last week and I installed them last night. Easy peasy and work well. Just work a bit differently than my old Blinc III. The fact that I can swap my unit between my three helmets is a plus. Also found out that Mrs. C's Scorpion half helmet was already bluetooth ready and I was worried that hers was going to be a problem.

Cabelas 10 tray dehydrator, a 9 tray dehydrator of another brand, a Black and decker steam cooker along with a vacuum seal machine. Plus a membership with the local H.O.G. chapter.

LG G6 smartphone to replace my G3 that packed it in after 30 months of faithful service. Too bad the little SOB took all my contacts along with it. Whatever caused its demise ruined the SIM card, too.

Bought more car stuff today...

1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee: Rear Drums, Ceramic Shoes, Drum/Spring rebuild kit (w/ adjusters)

1997 Geo Metro: Cam and crankshaft seals (leaking), valve cover and head gasket (preventative), plus a Oil Pressure sending unit (leaking)... oh and some paint/primer for the lower frame brace I bought recently

1992 Honda Accord: Full tank of gas, it's now getting 30+ mpg... not bad for an old bird with 270,000 miles on the clock :hehe:
