Hello, I'm MotoCheez... The YouTube Hawk guy
Hey all,
Got to know a few members that watch my videos who told me about these forums. Glad they did, so I joined the forums a few weeks ago, great source for information! I refer people in my videos to come here all the time now. Ride on fellow Hawksters! :hi: |
 Here's to many more posts! Great to have you aboard.
|
it is about time ... lol ... love the videos, and welcome, glad to have you around
|
Finally, Cheez is here in person :)
I know I posted up a few of your videos here to help a few of the HAWK riders out :D , I think only a couple other people on here knew about your videos before 'we all' started posting up all the Links to them :hehe: Don't have a way to comment/like/subscribe on YouTube vids, but it's good to see you around on the ChinaRiders forum. |

Welcome MotoCheez.
I loved watching your Hawk videos. If I hadn't just purchased an RX3, your videos would have me ordering a Hawk. That bike sure looks like a lot of fun. |
Hey MotoCheez! Can't wait to do some riding. This site is so addicting. We're going to have to get a picture with all 4 hawks next to each other. It will be the largest gathering of registered hawks in the US.
Do the other guys our the order have a sign on here yet? |
Welcome! Thanks for signing up.

Hope your getting a cut from the increased sales at txpowersports. You helped me make the decision to get the hawk and your videos great.

MotoCheez, you have a 110 jet on your hawk? Did you try out a 115 and have better results with the 110?
|
In my quest for information on the Hawk among others, i found your videos on U tube before i found China Riders. Keep up the good work! Yeah and they should give you a cut!

I don't get a cut... I wish I could get better discounts too! |
Just watched your latest video Cheez  .
But depending on what you bought for the "Octane Booster/Additive", I would suggest you save your $, most of those barely boost the octane and have little overall effect and some can be extremely harmful depending on what is packed in the bottle. If anything, might I suggest you try adding a fuel additive that helps with the "fuel combustion" process, one like Lucas Oil Companies "Fuel Treatment/Tune Up In A Bottle", it is an inexpensive and decent fuel additive that contains "PIB" (PolyIsobutylene), basically helps with "Fuel Tension/Fuel Molecule Size". Can find it everywhere in small bottles ($6 or so) up to gallon jugs ($20 or so after coupons codes, Advance Auto) http://lucasoil.com/products/fuel-tr...fuel-treatment Or (my personal preference if you can wait to have it delivered), would be to buy a gallon of Schaeffers Nuetra 131, not only does it clean the fuel system and 'help with fuel tension/combustion process', it can also be used as a fuel/engine/transmission/gear box/hydraulic oil/system cleaner. Found on Amazon for cheap ($25 a gallon shipped to your door ). I have personally seen this turn SOLID chunks of carbon into LIQUID BLACK GOO over night. I was working on a 1992 Honda Accord EGR system, it was completely plugged up so I filled the intake plenum/EGR Port with a few cup fulls of Neutra 131 and let it soak over night :hehe: the result was nasty but clear... I have never seen carbon turn back to a goo in such a way... it left the metal CLEAN and 'SHINY' with almost no work/effort at all :yay: http://www.schaefferoil.com/neutra-fuel-stabilizer.html How all you can use Schaeffer Neutra 131 found in this PDF http://www.schaefferoil.com/documents/32-131-td.pdf I used to use Lucas all the time as I could get it 'locally for cheap', but Amazon ships me Schaeffer Neutra gallons for about the same price of a gallon of Lucas... Schaeffer has been making top shelf products for almost 180 years... Lucas makes some decent and some 'snake oil' type products for dozens of years... it's a 'no brainer for Schaeffer' when you read of the ~180 History :D |
hawk
how fast does the hawk go
|
I never use those additives, Just this one time because I THOUGHT I may have filed the Hawk with 89 octane. But I do agree with you on that!
|
65 on a flat pushing 70 if I am lucky. GPS confirmed

I'm going to rejet the stock carb, but, would love to see if you experience any improvements with a Mikuni. If you do, I might go that route.
Btw, you are the one responsible for me ordering a Hawk, I was looking into the Storm when I stumbled across your videos. The Hawk is a better looking bike and costs less. I know the Storm has better forks and all, but, it looks like someone pieced it together with parts from several different bikes. The forks are a color that don't go with anything else, and the white panels don't go with the rest of the bike. |
I may get a Mikuni some day to try. The ones I've seen look identical the the Chinese copy on the hawk which is why I just re jetted the stock carb.
I also like the look of the hawk. I've got about 1600 miles on it now. Still going strong! Just did a 4 hour ride today, editing video and should be up tomorrow sometime. Thanks! Cheez |
More Cheezy videos, yay!
|
Wanted to thank you for the valve adjustment video.

Yeah I even made me buy 2 more. I'm getting another one in a few days, my youngest son has been riding mine. Of course he wants MINE, it has all the mods done to it!! |
Motocheez, you are going to have more Hawks than RPS. We should have just gotten the shipping container. I have a few guys now who want one. I think I will be putting a big order together in the next month or so.
