The bike should be here Friday but I got the paper work today.

Very happy for you. Still saving for mine. Have you already got it Licensed or is that the MCO?

That is the registration card that came with the plate and title.

I just went to the NDDOT to ask a question and the waiting room was pretty empty so I got a number and took a seat. A half hour later I left with smile on my face because I only had to pay $94.45 for everything and no vehicle inspection.

superchevy 05-27-2016 06:57 PM

Sure hope I have no problems with the Regesteration on mine when I get it.

I hope you sail through as well ;)

hertz9753 05-27-2016 10:10 PM

I got the MCO and a bill of sale in the envelope. The only thing I will ever thank Trump for is showing up in Bismarck when I went to the NDDOT. The place was empty and the workers were friendly. :)

I still didn't get my bike yet, it has sitting in Fargo, ND since Tuesday morning. I have so many parts waiting here that I could build my own bike while I wait...

'16 TT250 05-28-2016 12:09 AM

Seems odd that it's registered as a 2015 being this far into 2016.

Is that a Weimaraner in you avatar?

That is the info that I was sent and they can call what they want. My insurance company called it "other" and said $75 a year.

The avatar is my rescue dog Molly and she is a Lab/Heeler cross with a silver beard now. Puppy picture at 1 year old when I brought her home. :)

$94.45 to exercise a right for 7 months and you had a smile on your face?

The exercise tax was only 5% on $1398 and it did build up my right. I'm just here to have fun and learn. ;)

I got the Hawk today. A few little scuffs but nothing really bad.

BlackBike 06-01-2016 07:14 PM

Check airbox/ tube connection. Looks wonky from pic.

hertz9753 06-01-2016 08:16 PM

The air box boot? It's made out hard plastic or rubber.

pcspecialist 06-01-2016 08:40 PM

You got black rims? I'm jealous.

I have the same later version of exhaust, but, doesn't have HAWK on the left side of the engine and the large cap/plug (left side of engine) on mine is slotted.

hertz9753 06-01-2016 09:15 PM

I was hoping for the black rims. It seems like you don't know what are going to get until it is delivered.

The shipper was on Manana Dr.

dpl096 06-01-2016 09:29 PM

Congratulations on the bike. ... Ride safe and have fun:tup:

Sport Rider 06-01-2016 09:44 PM

Check seal with airbox looks short but sure it fine. Just one of many things to check with new China hawk platter special with egg roll.

Thank you for the clarification. I was also thinking the same thing. I also didn't realize the center knobs on the rear tire as tall as a dime.

Weldangrind 06-02-2016 10:29 AM

Happy new Hawk day!

kohburn 06-02-2016 12:46 PM

some nice knobby tires.
the TT's are much more street oriented.

SeerAtlas 06-02-2016 01:42 PM

if you plan any off pave travel, hold onto those tires! watch wet pavement, but for anything other than that they are seriously good! just don't overinflate on gravel, when set to mfg spec, it can be like riding on marbles! NOT a lot of fun. air down a bit and they grip like baseball spikes :) hell, i routinely cross running rivers/creeks w round rock bottoms and they do an amazing job.:)

pistolclass 06-02-2016 02:29 PM

Enjoy the new ride. Mine provides way more fun the its purchase price.

mq1991 06-02-2016 03:20 PM

I've got about 1600 street miles on my Hawk, and the knobbies are holding up better than expected. I figured id just wear them out and then go with some Shinkos.

How many miles are expected out of tires like these?

pistolclass 06-02-2016 04:08 PM

about 1601 miles, then they turn to dust :)

kohburn 06-02-2016 05:16 PM

lol - i'm looking at the shinko 244 as the replacement for the TT stock tires when the time comes

It took 6 days to get here from China.

SeerAtlas 06-03-2016 04:19 AM

Loud?

w0ss 06-03-2016 08:12 AM

I just installed that exhaust on my hawk and it seems just a little louder than stock. Only took it around the neighborhood though.

Taking the Hawk inside for some R&R. I still don't know how to post videos here but I can do pictures. I have a ground level shop inside of the house. I like the smell but I'm not allowed to leave the door open.

How was the install? Any problems with fitment?

It will be a few days. I'm stuck on the kick stand spring and I don't have much time to work on the bike.

I was a bit puzzled as well. I grabbed a short length of 1/8" cord rope and wrapped both ends around my hand leaving about a 3' loop, put the rope on the bottom end of the spring and let the rope drape down a few inches off the floor. Step on the rope to stretch the spring and move it over the stud on the kick stand.

chuck 06-08-2016 03:25 PM

The vacuum cleaner and the snow shovel are a good match too!!

BlackBike 06-08-2016 07:31 PM

i think weld said one time, can put pennies in the spring to install, makes sense
