Thanks but it's in Chinese

Try the same link in Google Chrome, and allow it to translate automatically: http://www.atvchina.com.cn/viewnews-13378.html

The translations aren't perfect, but you'll get the idea. I think you'll be pleased with what you see.

bucklove 06-16-2015 01:32 PM

Does your quad look like this?

Yupp!!! That's it!!!!(It also said QSP PERFORMANCE MOTORSPORTS on the tank and enine sidecover) Where do I find parts for it??? Everything appears to be heavy duty on it!! The chain is a 525, High end FAST ACE adjustable shocks front and rear,I've looked at alot of online parts sites and I'm seeing alot of manufacturers but only a few with Jianshe (and I don't know enough about what companies using the same parts, but like it said everything on this quad seems different from what I'm seeing in the websites for let's say for example a Roketa 250...) and its the JS250ATV-3 UTILITY or the JS250ATV-5 UTILITY even their website JAINSHE USA has all three models (JS250ATV- 3 5 n 8) but when you look for parts there(it redirects you to PARTS YAHOO.COM/ PATRS ATV website and POOF the 8 dissapears!!!! I have pics but can't seem to load them from my gallery by picking the option

Weldangrind 06-17-2015 10:33 AM

I think what the Chinese site is saying is that Jianshe and Yamaha have a relationship. I'm pretty sure your quad is cloned from a Yamaha, so now you just need to figure out which one.

I once saw that on the trails, where I met two guys riding quads. One had a Yamaha Bruin, and the other was riding a clone of a Bruin. I crawled all over those machines, and I only found two differences: The clone had four headlights instead of two, and the Yamaha had some sort of switch in the side of the engine (presumably a low-oil shutdown), but the clone was not drilled for the switch. That was all I could find to be different. The body shape, frame design, suspension, winch mount and controls were all identical.

When you find the Yamaha that your quad is cloned from, you might be able to use Yamaha parts or aftermarket stuff designed for a Yamaha.

I think this is it: http://www.atv.com/manufacturers/yam...eview-886.html

Weldangrind 06-17-2015 10:50 AM

If you type "2007 Yamaha Raptor 250" into Google, the second return is a 2007 owners manual in pdf.

bucklove 06-17-2015 10:54 AM

Yes thanks!! It is a Yamaha -Jianshe collaboration I've read up on it and there is a website JIANSHE USA that show my model 8 and two utility models JS250ATV 3 and 5 and they redirect you over to PARTS are AHOO/ PARTS ATV (located in Texas) for replacement parts but show no parts for the model 8 sport and aren't to good at answering or returning phone calls and Email!!

bucklove 06-17-2015 10:55 AM

Hi where would I find parts for my 2008 JIANSHE JS250ATV-8 SPORT?? I've tried a bunch of online sites but I'm not seeing any matches...everything on my quad seems to be heavy duty like the chain is 525...shocksMonster FAST ACE adjustable shocks front n rear...5spd with reverse...I can find parts for the JS250ATV-3 and the JS250ATV-5 (both utility models) from the JIANSHE USA website redirect to a parts supplier PARTS YAHOO/ PARTS ATV (located in Texas according to the website..but don't answer or return phone calls or Emails yet sofar) but not for the SPORT 8 model HELP PLEASE!!!! I'd post pics but when I choose the option nothing happens!!! But if you google the model it'll show you the blue quad!!! I guess it's a Yamaha Raptor clone I've even seen news on the Yamaha-Jianshe collaboration so would there be any Yamaha parts I could buy for replacement parts...and the guy over at ChineseAtvmanuals told me the engine is a Yamaha Timberwolf copy??? (But that engine is shaft driven n mine is chain...don't know if that makes a difference!! ) Any info on what and where will fit would be great thanks!!!! I posted this in another forum this morning...MYCHINAMOTO.COM

bucklove 06-17-2015 11:00 AM

Ok I'll google that!!

Weldangrind 06-17-2015 11:35 AM

Hopefully the guys at MCM will have better guidance for you.

bucklove 06-17-2015 11:46 AM

Thank you Weldangrind!!! You've been helpful too!!! I just need a parts supplier and as I'm seeing it hit or miss!!!! But it doesn't help having the quad that isn't listed anywhere!!!! You even pictured my quad!!!

bucklove 06-17-2015 12:31 PM

Boy I'm looking at the threads on the other forum n most of them have up to thousands of views in the ATV section but mostly no repleis!!!!!

bucklove 06-17-2015 12:54 PM

I was just reading on another forum that said CINARIDERS.NET is the BEST forum for information!!! If I don't get my answers here I guess I'm screwed!!!!

bucklove 06-17-2015 01:55 PM

I've found it at POWERSPORTSMAX.COM listed as a TOMOTO ATV250S-2...

bucklove 06-17-2015 05:57 PM

Nope!!! Called them and they have the picture but no parts...told me the parts are all the same!!! They're obviously not...oh well the research continues!!!

Weldangrind 06-18-2015 01:46 AM

What does it say on the steering neck label?

bucklove 06-18-2015 06:04 AM

CHONGQING JIANSHE MOTORCYCLE CO. LTD.
LAPSCN80X80500021
10KW 6500 R/MIN

on the engine is:
JS171FMM-7
*08E00007*

Weldangrind 06-18-2015 11:36 AM

What parts are you after?

bucklove 06-18-2015 01:26 PM

Rear break pads...I've gone to a few local shops even one that deals in Chinese products but no luck
It runs great but a few things I'd like to replace like clutch plates just things to keep it right

Take it out & measure. With the measurement(s) we can certain the compatibility... For example: this guy http://www.mychinamoto.com/forums/sh...ll=1#post68091 had bad support from dealer BUT turns out it's super easy to get parts
Example http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=39176366379 of commonest china bike clutch plate

bucklove 06-18-2015 09:13 PM

Thanks Humanbeing I feel like I'm getting closer!! But the JIANSHE wasn't listed in the brake parts download I did see some that "looked" similar!!! I'm wonder ing am I supposed to be looking for JIANSHE parts or did some other company build my quad...the vin says CHONGQING JIANSHE MOTORCYCLE CO. LTD. so I assume that the builder??? The only parts I actually "need" are the chain tension adjuster rear brake pads and a front 1into2 brake hose to make it 100% complete...1 chain tension adjuster is stripped (it has 2) front brake hose is tore off at the hand set and the rear break pads are done...I just want to have access to all the parts to keep it in top shape but so far I can't even find anyone who even recognizes the unit!! It seems to be a really well built quad I just can't find parts!! I had one pretty nice repair shop owner (who went through the book for the download you gave me for brake pads) tell me that some companies built units and never built replacement parts so that if you needed parts some dealers hadto strip down already built units...I just can't believe with such an apparently weell biult quad that I can't find replacement parts...but so far that is my reality!!!! Personally I think I'm just not looking in the right places!!!!

FLASHLIGHTBOY 06-19-2015 12:29 AM

Jianshe hemsin

These 2 companies were owned by Yamaha... in china a lot of plants are Yamaha owned... I had imported some in 2008.. the pads should be the same as Yamaha .. you just need a person to talk to you right... you can try a lot of places but it they don,,t want to help that is it... I did not read where you were located... but there is many places.... can you show some pics on the pads... and the calipher??? we can decide from there... once you tell me where you are. then I can help.. thanks

Does your rear caliper look like this?

Attachment 2833

bucklove 06-19-2015 09:45 AM

Thanks Flashlightboy!! Yes I'll try to post pics BUT WHEN I HIT THE "CHOOSE FILE" OPTION ABSOLUTELY NOTHING HAPPENS!! HOW DO I POST PICS??? (I'm using my smart phone..that might be the reason???)I can't gain access to my gallery and when I hit that picture button up top there it says to enter the url address and that's for an internet picture I guess...which I don't have cause I can't seen to find any other pictures of my quad but the stock picture and Weldangrind already posted it here!!!

YES Weldangrind!!! That looks very much like my rear caliper!!(from what I can see..there are no bolts to remove the break pads on mine)

Oh n Flashlightboy I went to the Yamaha n told them that information about YAMAHA-JIANSHE collaboration and he laughed at me n told me that never happened!!! (And I wasn't about to get into a pissing contest with him to prove him wrong, I didn't want to alienate him!!) That's what I'm dealing with here!!!! But I expected that kind of treatment from dealerships from reading up on Chinese motorsport vehicle's for the past year!! (Mostly pitbikes/dirt bikes not atv's) And I live in Stuart Florida

Weldangrind 06-19-2015 12:15 PM

Here's one way to upload pics: http://www.chinariders.net/showthread.php?t=14422

Stay out of the stealership, unless you have no choice. Those guys are trained to hate China bikes.

I found that caliper picture here: https://www.rockymountainatvmc.com/oem-schematic/1 Then, click on rear brake caliper.

I clicked on OEM Parts, Yamaha, All Terrain Vehicle, 2008 All Terrain Vehicle, Raptor 250 YFM25RXGY - 2008 OEM Parts. I checked the other three models as well, and all of the 2008 Raptor 250's use the same caliper.

Rocky Mountain ATVMC is an excellent company to deal with, and shipping is fast and cheap. Another good one is www.bikebandit.com

bucklove 06-19-2015 01:10 PM

Weldangrind I went to the website and upon closer inspection of the schematic I can see that they are not the same calipers the brake pads are indeed different!! I wish I could just post a pictures and make this easier for you..I'm very sorry for my technology short comings!! When I hit the paperclip it pops up a screen that's titled "Manage Attachments" and it has a 3 buttons "Choose File" and when I push that button it just flashes but nothing happens...it also says "sum of all attachments owned by bucklove owned:0 " above the "choose file" button...
