SpudRider 02-15-2013 02:26 AM

No, I don't recognize this quad. However, I'm hoping the helpful members of this forum will soon recognize it. ;)

migue1760 02-15-2013 02:30 AM

Well all i know its a huansong 200cc lol :? With the body of a raptor?
Ill upload more pics of the engine and all that

SpudRider 02-15-2013 02:33 AM

Please do upload more photographs. Most of our forum members in North America are asleep. However, I'm hoping they can help you identify your quad tomorrow. ;)

Spud :)

migue1760 02-15-2013 02:52 AM

Yes, over here in california its 12:00

Weldangrind 02-15-2013 10:10 AM

It looks like a CG motor to me, but a close-up pic would help. Be sure to show the top of the engine.

It's almost identical to my quad.

migue1760 02-15-2013 05:26 PM

Alright here it is

I posted your images for you, Miguel. ;)

migue1760 02-15-2013 05:47 PM

Thank you :D so you dont know what it is?

FastDoc 02-15-2013 05:53 PM

You are a good guy Spud. :D

The quad looks like a version of the Loncin 200cc watercooled OHV engine.

Are you having troubles?

Those motors were on eBay new for $250.

migue1760 02-15-2013 06:52 PM

They were! Well i need the service manual because the engine over heats and starts spewing a little antifreeze and the muffler connected to the engine gets red

FastDoc 02-15-2013 06:58 PM

I think they were 250's too  .

Have you changed your coolant? Does it have a theromstat? Is the cap's spring pressure appropiate? And signs of running too lean? Are the hoses OK?

We here at Chinariders are a little leery or watercooled Chinese engines... We prefer it when the Chinese keep it simple, like air. They have not screwed up air.

migue1760 02-15-2013 07:15 PM

I dont have the information to go ahead and disassemble everything but what do you mean by runnin lean? Im working on it right now im going to try to clean the carburator

migue1760 02-16-2013 12:55 AM

So can someone help me with the engine diagram? And were to buy parts?

migue1760 02-16-2013 03:59 AM

So no, do you guys have specs or diagrams about the engine?

katoranger 02-16-2013 09:14 AM

There are not many of the liquid cooled ones around. Running lean means that the air/fuel ratio is not correct. Too much air not enough fuel. A carb clean may help that.

I would confirm that the coolant level is correct and that the thermostat is opening. Maybe the waterpump is not working.

migue1760 02-16-2013 02:08 PM

I checked last night and the card is dirty and it doesnt keep steady rpms, and for the radiator i was told that the coolant hose is not tight correctly, is this engine based on a cg 200 honda engine?

Weldangrind 02-16-2013 04:50 PM

I've never seen a liquid cooled cg engine, but it could be. If you manage to get ahold of an air cooled CG200, it would be a much better choice.

katoranger 02-16-2013 05:07 PM

I see similarities to the air cooled versions. If it runs and you can correct the issues it should be worth keeping that engine.

I would check all the hose connections and clean out the carb. Also making sure the carb to intake manifold connection is good.

migue1760 02-17-2013 12:42 AM

Well i did some research and is based on a honda cg engine, today i cleaned the carb and we took it offroading and it did good but the pipe got red after awhile i dont know how to adjust the carb, and for the radiator it spilled antifreeze when i was riding it so i stoped and the fan didnt turn on, i fixed the fan but lets see if the temperature thing works and turns the fan on, any idea what kind of oil it uses?

migue1760 02-17-2013 02:08 AM

How much turn does the air and jet screws in the carb have to be?

katoranger 02-17-2013 08:59 AM

I would set the screws at about 1 1/2 turns out and then adjust from there.

Maybe you need to install larger jets in the carb.

Oil. 15w40 diesel oil works well and is cheap. Shell Delo etc. Walmart carries it.

migue1760 02-17-2013 01:52 PM

Alright ill set the screws 1½ open and how can i change the jets if there already preset? Is there a place where i can view service repair manuals?

migue1760 02-17-2013 01:54 PM

15w 40 !? I thought it was 10w 30 for gasoline engines

TCCKSR 02-17-2013 03:54 PM

Can you wire the fan on a manual switch so you just turn it on and leave it on?

migue1760 02-17-2013 04:20 PM

Yes im planning to do that but i want to see if it turns on by itself now, i just blew a fuse, any idea what kind of fuse it uses? It had a 15A but it was broken then replaced it with a 10A then there was a faulty wire wich blew my fuse, i dont know what kind of fuse i should put

Weldangrind 02-17-2013 11:18 PM

15A is a good size.

migue1760 02-18-2013 02:48 AM

Yes thank you :D also im still wondering if there is a service manual for this quad in case something major happens

We are the service manual.

10w30 oil will work also. Suggest looking for either a 4stroke motorcycle/ATV oil or make sure it does not say "energy conserving" on it.

Diesel oil does not. Alot of us run the shell rotellaT 15w40. Cheap and easily found a walmart. You will need just over a quart.

Weldangrind 02-18-2013 10:14 AM

It's pretty rare to find a 10W30 that does not say "energy conserving". Break-in oil is probably suitable, but it's expensive. I agree with Kato on using 15W40 diesel oil; cheap and easy to find.

I don't think you're going to find a specific manual. Do you have a question? We can likely guide you.

migue1760 02-18-2013 01:52 PM

Can i get the oil at autozone? 15w 40? I dont care if its expensive if its good ill buy it, how many inch pounds is the waterpump? and It leaks antifreeze a little but i need to fix that, and can i use 15w40 or 10w30 which is best?

SpudRider 02-18-2013 02:18 PM

Yes, you can buy 15W/40 motor oil at AutoZone. :) I always wait for a sale, then I stock up on gallon jugs of 15W/40 motor oil. ;)

Spud :)

migue1760 02-18-2013 02:30 PM

15w40 then can i use it in like 80-90° degree temperature outside?

Yes, you certainly can. :) I use 15W/40 motor oil in my air cooled, motorcycle engines during the heat of summer; I have never had a problem. ;)

Spud :)

migue1760 02-18-2013 02:43 PM

Mine is water cooled but does that make a difference? Also in summer over here is like 108° is there a website i could buy parts from not ebay?

Weldangrind 02-18-2013 10:45 PM

Being water cooled does not impact the oil choice. Yes, you can use 15W40 all year, but it wouldn't hurt to switch to 20W50 in the extreme heat.

I found this with a quick Google search: http://www.motopartsmax.com/index.ph...engine/paID/49

I don't have a clue how many inch-pound the water pump bolts should be. I'd take the cover off, clean it thoroughly, apply new sealant and hand-tighten the bolts.
