How much was your bike?

If you don't mind answering that is...

How much was your bike, and what is it?

I'm only asking because I think they cost a lot more here in Canada, and just curious to see (case in point, that Kikker bobber with 110cc lifan motor is 1499USD from california, here in bc with a new name it is 3100CDN, and our dollars are almost equal nowadays).

My lifan was 2500 + tax, canadian, from an actual dealer, cheapest local price I found by a few hundred dollars.

07 Lifan GY 5 $1350 usd delivered.

Jim 07-26-2007 03:33 AM

Is that an A.L.? assembled, or in a crate?

fatboy250 07-26-2007 08:54 AM

DB-07A - $980 delivered
DB-07B - $850 delivered

Both were purchased as pairs. The first pair was me and Dad. The second was for me and my girlfriend. So, I know I was able to get a better deal because shipping was almost nothing for the second.

My 150cc Xingyue Easy came assebled, certified, and delivered, ready to fire up, from a brick and morter store. Came with helmet. $1599. IMHO, yes they are more expensive up here. Though, for Toronto, Ontario, $1599 usually gets you a slice of pizza and a coke, not a vehicle. They may be more expensive here, but everything is more expensive here. :x

frostbite 07-26-2007 10:02 AM

$2000 CAD assembled.

katoranger 07-26-2007 04:18 PM

$1200 USD plus tax. Bike was assembly, but not ready to go. I still had prep it.

Ours were around $2700 delivered to our door, so yeah we had to assemble them.

I could have found a good used JAP bike for that amount and just bought the wife her quad but then I'd been stuck on TT and never would have found this site.It all worked out for the best.

You guys in the states are lucky, my 250 was $1400 in the crate, and a further $250 to make it road legal. The average for a 200cc on the road is about $1650.

Jonathan.

newbie555 07-27-2007 09:08 AM

There are some of us who would have shelled out $1650 to get a 250 like yours.

Hey, you got the same deal I did. Got mine off eBay for $500 and it had 2.9 km on the odometer (he was located 5 miles from where I work). I was told he paid around $1,600 shipped to his house, then he paid to have it assembled.

buymore 07-27-2007 08:52 PM

I paid $1384 OTD for my Roketa DB-05 with tax, title and 30 day tag. Assembled and ready to ride when I got home! Better yet, I've made no alterations to it yet and with just over 500 KM's on the odometer, still no problems and no loose bolts yet either!

Must tell you this!!!!

This is going to make you laugh!! In our local paper a nearby bike shop is selling GY trail bikes, the picture is a bit small to make out which one, the best bit..... £2300, yes that's around $4600, you do get free third party insurance thrown in, worth around $200.

$640 plus $250 shipping for my 2005 Terminator OHC GY200.
Pushing 5000 miles now, no problems.
Need tires, chain, rear shock, and sprockets soon though. These bikes wear just like any other Japanese bike would. No sooner, no later.

Bike costs

My 2006 Jialing Viva VX200SX cost me $1029 delivered.

The new 2006 QLink X-Ranger 200 cost me $810. It was purchased off ebay at a substantial savings. The trip to Milwaukee to pick it up was around $250. I've sold enough parts off the Jialing to completely pay for the X-Ranger and pay my wife back the $250 we spent on the trip. She's happy = I'm happy! I've made a few hundred extra off the Jialing, so I have a lot less than $810 in the X-Ranger now. Soon it will be a free bike!
