New RZ3! Naked bike!
Did you guys see this? Wow! What a beauty!

Looks really nice. I wonder when they will be shipping?

A naked RX-3????
What makes the RZ3 so pricey? Isn't it just the same engine and drive train as the RX-3, in a naked frame? No windscreen, no side cases, no top case, no crash bars, no spoked wheels, and no skid plate, etc. it should be substantially cheaper than the RX-3?
Please explain the higher price for a lesser bike. :hmm: |
A bit more about the RZ3 here: http://pertamax7.com/2016/07/14/zong...3-250-cyclone/
Can't they go with a nice, flat bench seat? I really dislike the bucket seats used on so many bikes these days. The TT250 seat is close, just won't swap over. |
I really like it in white. I hope it sells, but competition in the 250 beginner segment is fierce, new and used.
The RX3 was so unique there's nothing quite like it. The TT250 nails the off-road market at the price point. But the RZ3 ... That's a tougher sell when there are plenty of Honda and Kawasakis out there used for the same price. |
I like the rz3 and CSC but at that price after doc and crating it's basically the price of a Honda CB300f which retails for 3999. Used are super easy to find for 3000-3500 with barely any miles or holdovers still new.

Approaching $4000, I'd rather have one of Steve's Mustang replicas. At least they are distinctive, and would make a great little "back of the RV" bike. |
I'm not sure where CSC is going with the pricing on this bike. Anyone would spend the extra couple bucks and buy the Japanese machine.
|
We'll see what happens. If they move, great! If they sit, sales are headed our way. I've never been one much into what I call "rolling scaffold", regarding styling....but styling taste is personal anyway. There's a big market of folks who love this look.
I wish CSC luck! Of course, we all want CSC to succeed. It's an entirely different and supportive way of marketing CB's that we've never experienced in this market before. |
I wonder if the 20L tank will fit my RX3. I'd be happy to give up those useless plastic side panels in order to have a larger tank. Oh, and my magnetic tank bag would fit better too.

Looks good to me. Should be a tad lighter.
I hate that style of commercial. I feel like after watching it I need a Ritalin. |

http://i1.wp.com/pertamax7.com/wp-co...amax7.com_.jpg 2lz, I like the skeletor look. This is the differentiation they are counting on for this segment vs the honda competition. And it (rz3) is a little lower price but true , hard to not go with the Honda and its nation wide exposure. |
I like the trellis frame as well, but I'm a Ducatisti.
|
I sure like the white model and I hope CSC does well with them.
|
Hard to tell, but there appears to be two hoses going to the water pump. Factory applied thermostat bypass, perhaps?
|
Different bars, different model?

It will be interesting to see. I do agree with a lot of the folks, the price point would push me to probably buy a Honda over the Zong. At least for this type of Naked bike. Manufacturers just price point these things so high because they are naked bikes. It's just what is popular now. Kinda of like long beards and skinny jeans, if you get what I'm saying. |
Check it out!

You'll find three color choice and the clip-ons mentioned prominently. So I do not believe that the actual colors and equipment of the RZ3 is still undecided. It's a done deal! Check it out! :yay: |

Here's the link: http://www.cscmotorcycles.com/CSC-RZ3-2017-p/zrz3.htm I think I like the rounder headlight as noted below by jontando |
With the CSC press release today on the RZ3 the trolls will crawl out of their holes. Let the bias and ignorance begin :tdown:
|
Wow!

Thats a big ol gas tank, even being conservative it's close to 350 miles per tank.(5.28×65mpg) Really pushing the 250 technologies  |

Not my cup of tea. Much like the RC3 -- if you've got that look on a bike, it better have some snap under that throttle...

With doc and crating it's only 300 dollars less than a Honda CB300f or R here in NY. They go for 3980 plus tax.
I'd go for the extra power and reliability of the Honda, and the resale. Zongshens not up to Honda quality just yet. |
That may turn out to be a deciding factor for many .... I'm satisfied with my RX3 and while the RZ looks sharp Im not their target customer. I wish them great success.

Both the RC and RZ are in a very competitive spot in the market. For now the RX3 is in its own niche, and the TT250 is super competitive in price (if you ignore the 1400 dollar Hawk).
I do hope they do well, CSC is a great company to buy from, I wish they sold every brand by mail lol. |
From csc blog

The more I look at the RZ3, the more I like it. But I'm a sucker for naked bikes with a standard seat position.
If I didn't already have the perfect 250 (my sweet RX3), it would be on my short list  |

Its in the middle of the trip I think past the gobi desert. This is where I lifted the pic from. Sure it's a Chinese domestic unit .not sure what our imports will look like

That particular bike was at a dealer's in Xianyang. Nothing was broken on it, but it had a few scrapes and scratches. The RZ3 is already in service in China. You would not believe the condition most of the motorcycles are in over there. They ride their bikes hard and put them away wet. Our colors will be gray with a red frame, and white with a red frame, at least for the 2017 model year. They had a couple more colors on the Chinese version (all metallic red, and all metallic blue). Those look good, too, but I think ours will be better. |
