Turned my Hawk into a TT250 :)
1 Attachment(s)
Here is a 2020 Hawk DLX with some modifications.
I would have bought the TT250 if I had known about it before buying the Hawk. The plastics are all painted, the engine is counterbalanced, many small parts are better quality. SO I purchased the plastics and decals etc for the TT250. Also changed the headlight assembly to make it look different. I also ordered the CSC top box to finish it off but it's not here yet. Trying to bide my time waiting since I put a deposit on the CSC RX4 but it's not due until August so this will have to do! Thoughts? |

looks great. I had the same idea not too long ago, glad someone validated it. I'll probably do the same if they don't make that impossible before I do hehehe

Interesting idea, now you just need a CSC clutch cover so that it doesn't say "Hawk" on the side. You did a magnificent job on the conversion! How much did it set you back, all-in, if you don't mind sharing?

I like that headlight, where'd ya get it?

those forks look like they need some protection.

Real Decals, Chinese parts!
The decal is worth more than the inverted forks probably.
Don't forget the fake exhaust decal and Fox fender decals! The only name brand thing on this bike is the real pro taper bars :). I thought it would be funny to plaster it with decals, but I've removed most of them since the pics. I might put some back on since they made the bike look more interesting. Ironically, my BMW R1200RT has no decals, Neither does my 2021 F350 dually. The decals I couldn't handle were the fake factory ones that said "Strongest" all over. Strongest what?? The hawk didn't look too bad from a distance with the decals removed before the changes, but once you got close to it, the unpainted plastics looked horrible. |
Amazon of course!

Even though its got mixed parts, and misleading decals, I'm really not trying to fool anyone. It's mostly an experiment to see how legit these bikes could look with a little effort. It will never be anything but an ok slow speed trail, and commuting around town bike so my efforts are limited :). Plus, I don't think the covers are the same as the CSC since it has a counterbalanced engine.

Even the Lifan Xpect is another same basic Hawk like bike if you want to experiment with mix and match. The major difference there might be the fuel tank and shape of the plastics, but even those should fit the Hawk. The Hawk DLX has the fuel tank with the pump setup... so if you have a DLX (EFI) then only the Lifan tank would swap out. I liked the CSC tank because of the flush filler cap, but it won't work on mine because of the no pump design.

Older Pic

Here's an older pic before most of the changes. Also showing is the Lifan KPM200 I had for a minute. Neat looking bike, but about 20% smaller than a full sized motorcycle...too small for me.

Nice! And I completely agree with what you said. Please post a pic of your bike at some point? Sounds cool!
