zstar 250 street legal
 

I just sold a ZSTAR 250 that is street legal.. ( in SASKATCHEWAN).. LOOKS GREAT & RUNS NICE.. NOT TOO LOUD.. might buy some more & drive one myself.. you can see them on ALBERTA KIJIJI..

Is it marked RUM or Motorcycle on the vin plate / decal ??

If ZSTAR imported them as RUM , then it's no good to reg in BC. This is the isssue I have with my Zstar gy7. Awsome bike but if the police pull it over and see the RUM they will box 1 it and no more insurance for you.
If SGI is allowing RUM's to be reg'e , I think I found a reasone to move to Sask...LOL

I wouldn't be at all surprised if you could privately transfer a bike from Saskatchewan to BC, despite RUM status. You'd have to submit to an out of Province inspection, but it would be worth a try.

yup and thats where it would end....and you would own a dirt bike...LOL

I will have to check on the bike ... I may buy one more to see.. I did not know about that.. but it does say that it conforms to TRANSPORT CANADA SPECS

So did the last bike I got from Zstar..LOL but it is marked RUM and it meets transport canada fro a dirt bike.

I would be intrested in knowing what the tag says though if you get a chance to sight one.

where is this label located??

it will either be a sticker or a metal tag. Normaly near the triple clamp or rivited to the frame like a honda.
