I tried searching but I couldn't find the answer to this. Can anybody enlighten me on where to get a replacement o-ring?

I will bet you that every Hawk have that leak it just not everyone noticed it yet. After a nice run I touch the bottom of the engine and there is always a little bit of oil around the shifter. The good thing is it does stop when the engine cools down a bit.I'm not concerned because it's not enough to cause any problems.

Lean bike over on the right side so the oil won't come out. Remove shift lever. Use a small screwdriver to remove seal. Take to your local bearing shop to get a new one. Probably a 14/28/7. Reassemble in reverse order.

I wouldn't be concerned except that after I wipe it off it continues to slowly drip on the floor and doesn't ever stop.

Mudflap has a pretty good answer to your problem.

Yup, it's a 5 minute job. Why put up with a leak?
