Clutch and Brake Levers

2 Attachment(s)
I finally got around to installing my clutch and brake levers this past weekend. I ordered these off eBay after my Hawk got knocked over and broke the clutch lever. They fit the Honda CB 500. The brake lever fit perfectly, but the clutch lever required a little sanding/filing. The lever was a little too thick for the bracket.I used a little sanding wheel on my Big Lots “Dremel” tool. It took about 10 minutes to sand it down to the correct thickness.

Those definitely look stronger that the originals. Pretty  I bent my clutch lever the 2nd week I had my bike from the bike falling over when the kick stand sunk in the soft ground. It was like one of them slow motion falls. lol I really need to invest in some nice ones like those.

Yeah, I watched my Hawk fall too! I just couldn’t get to it fast enough! It was in slow motion, but I was in even slower motion! My clutch lever snapped almost in half. I could get a couple of fingers on it. I like the adjustability of the new levers. Bonus was the cost!

I already added those to my Amazon wish list along with a ton of other stuff. The only problem I have is my wish list is way over my Hawk budget funds lol. I have a 16 year old daughter that takes priority over the Hawk updates. I can't complain. She bought the Hawk for me as an early Christmas gift last year because of all that I have done for her. The only catch was I had to order her a UTV she wanted. lol

The funny thing is, you and so many others have bent and broken the levers from simple falls and BOTH of my levers have survived 2 crashes with no more than the metal being scraped away from the end. First when my buddy low sided it under a truck, and second my unfortunate meeting with that pot hole that damaged my front wheel and sent me flying.
