Sundiro mantis help please
 

Bought a sundiro mantis last summer for 50 bucks. started up every time ( kick start, it doesnt have a battery ) just got it out after being in storage all winter ( was in a basement storage locker) and now it will start, but die right away. It takes a good 10 kicks to get it to start, but then it dies after like 1 second. Strangely enough if i tip the bike to its right side, violently shaking it back and forth, it will stay running, but if i hit the hand brake and stop the back tire from spinning it will die.

Im thinking carb is nasty? water in gas, any help is appreciated, this thing is cool and i want to get it running nice for summer, thanks!

目前市场上销售的新大洲50 摩托车, 质量与做工总体上讲还是很好的, 但不少车出现行驶中化油器供油不足现象。据了解, 这是由于化油器的主量孔、怠速量孔、油针等关键零件加工精度不够所造成的。现介绍一下本人对此问题的处理方 法, 供朋友参考。
1 .
将柱塞式节气门的油针由第三格提至第四格, 从而使加速和行驶时有足够的油量供给发动机。
2.
清洗化油器, 使各通道及喷嘴正常工作。
3.
用细的钢丝穿人怠速量孔,反复拉动, 使量孔微量加大。
4.
调整混合气螺丝, 由原来的1 1/2圈调至2－2 1/2圈。
经过以上处理, 供油不足问题可得到解决。

Shortage of fuel:
1. Needle clip's position [3 to 4]
2. Clean passage & jet.
3. Make slow jet slightly larger
4. Mixture screw

Nuke the jets.

alright ill try the mentioned adjusting of the mixture screw first, then ill clean the carb really good.

so it not sounding like an issue with moisture in my gas tank, no? reason i ask is my buddies car had the same symptoms and it turned out to be moisutre in fuel from sitting over winter.

Pretty much guaranteed your fuel has taken a dump on you ,unless you have been lucky and smart and just running ethanol free fuel ,the first step would be to drain that crap and refill it with fresh fuel preferably ethanol free .Dont know about your area ,but Shell vpower around here is the good stuff and easy to find .

Woo wooo, turns out it was the gas! changed out the gas after work and boom, fired right up. Thanks for the help guys.


Now another issue, Missing plastics, Im missing the front fender, and the two plastics on the left and right side that cover the air box and such? any ideas, i cant seem to find anything.

I find that the bike has more power when i ride it with the choke on, and i know riding with the choke on can be bad for the scooter. anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?
