What the heck! been gone a few months and a new china bike is released.
 

So what the heck? What is this TaoTao? is this a covenanted 49 state legal bike? This new Machine might cut into my airplane fund.

I'm with ya Pistolclass, I was away for a bit and came back and BAM!! Quite a few new ones to choose from. Heck we even have Apollo making a street legal version of their Dirtbike. Decisions decisions!

I believe so...I ordered mine through Walmart and on their details page it says,manufacturer bashan modelyear Brozz 2018. But my title says 2019 TaoTao Tbr7

Two different companies. Whatever seller claiming Bashan as OEM is either in the know, or trying to blow smoke which is more likely the case. EPA/DOT certification indicate two different manufacturers. Bashan does OEM the new BMS CRP 250, and people who have bought them confirmed the mfg plates and MSO state Bashan as manufacturer.

I thought it was weird too.I ordered through Walmart but it comes from Txpowersports.I used Walmart because they have third party selling rules and standards.

That information is for the Brozz. Guessing they tried to pull one past the consumer by 'mistakenly' suggesting Bashan as the OEM. Not that they need to; you guys who own the Taotao seem to love them even if Taotao is the manufacturer.

Bashan is in Chongqing
Tao Tao is in another province all together more north east
