New upgrades
3 Attachment(s)
What’s up family so today of my upgrades came today. 17T/44T RC Racing chain and E3 Spark Plug. Tell me what y'all think
I think you are going to have some greasy hands here soon!
I put e3 plugs in tacoma and it ran like SHIT. I've heard very mixed reviews on them so I will be very interested to see how it goes for you.
I'd just run an NGK platinum or iridium, E3s seem like a scam to me.
E3's don't get along with some electronic ignition systems, but should work just fine on one of these simple machines.
Personally, I am with Franque and will stick to NGK's. Now, if you REALLY want to get silly, you can index your plugs. Want to talk about some old school performance tuning? lol. I am curious about the 420 chain. It should work, but why not a 428 chain like these bikes come with? |

Yeah, the sprocket is for a 428 chain, you might want to (need) to get the right size chain for that to work.

But, I did do it with my Hawk lol. Did it make any sort of a difference? probably not, but it made me feel better inside. :hehe: |
Ok cool so go 428 on the chain. As for Why I chose to go with the 420 chain just wanted to try something different I did a little research so I figure it’ll work. Thanks for the help guys and I am aiming to get top speed so if y’all have anything I’m all ears
They're incompatible. You could theoretically run a 428 chain on 420 sprockets, but not the reverse, as 428 is wider than a 420, so the 420 chain will be too narrow for the sprockets.
Should have upgraded to 520 chain, cheaper brand will be fine on these low Hp engines etc.
I watched a video on the E3 plug on a TBR7 and he claimed slight improvement - but these ol clunkers just an NGK etc good plug will do.... |
