Recommended environment for working on them...
I live in an apartment so already I'm kind of limited to what kind of work I can do. I think I can easily drive it into my kitchen for safe keeping and light work, management has allowed it before. Being that most of these Chinabikes require some initial maintenance and disassembly and regular as well, is it feasible to work on one in an apartment? I have enough space that I can work on my motorized bicycles in here and that's one of the main attractions for me with these smaller cc bikes. So I suppose I need a stand of sort to keep the front/rear off the ground. Anything else or recommendations on a stand?

It will be a bit cumbersome, but can be done.

I worked on mine in my Dining room while it was still cold and nasty outside. I have several videos of it in my Dining room actually, lol.
I bought one of those Harbor Freight Dirt bike lift stands for like $40 and it worked out great for me. |
I used to work on my ninja ZX-7 in the living room of an apartment. Ha ha.
You should be all right. It’s basically just down to not making a mess of the place. |
You're prob ok until you start messing with gasoline...then you're neighbors might say something.
