I have a crf150-230 muffler coming for my bike.

I won a few of the lifan parts auctions so keep an eye out in the parts section.

completed mufler exhaust upgrade

heres a few pics of the crf muffler installed.A completed pic,a pic of mountintab at the rear rack, and a pic using the factory mounting tab on the muffler pipe.I also threw out a pick of the adapter i made to fit the stock header as the muffler and header were 2 different sizes.

Nice work getting it to fit considering how big it is.The quality of your pipe is about 100 fold over mine  .

Its nice to see other people putting on different exhausts and enjoying the engine note that can come from these bikese instead of that JETSONS putt putt sound like the stockers have.

I love the exhaust I put on mine and it was just a cheap pipe for an XR200 but it really helped my bike and the sound and performance increase is great.
I had to make up a bracket for mine also at the midway point where the clamp is.
The pipe and rejetting(+air filter) have been the best performance mod I have found so far.

This is a fmf muffler TC4-5000 USFS Approved muffler. 2003 crf450r

Nice..Does the bike seem to have a little more Ooommmph now?

katoranger 05-24-2008 12:56 PM

I used a piece of 1 1/4" schedule 80 pipe for the adapting collar on mine.

Did you make that tab on the frame by the rear brake master?

I have that mounting point on mine pipe too.

The mounting tab was there from the original muffler.I used a 2" muffler clamp to clamp header to muffler.
I have noticed better bottom end torque, mainly betwwen 2500-4000 rpms.
Happy with this mod.Seems to have accentuated the 105 jet and pod filter.

One concern i have is the pipe that enters the muffler does get hot and I worry about the proximity of the hose coming from the rear brake reservoir to master cylinder.Maybe some kind of additional heat shield?

katoranger 05-26-2008 07:47 PM

I noticed better low end too. I am going to try a 108 jet.

I was concerned about the brake master, but my stock pipe was in about the same spot with no troubles.
