DLX 250 or the kpx 250

OK guys I’m looking for opinions probably in January. I’m going to be buying either the hawk 250 or the kpx250. So tell me, which one would you choose and why would you I know that the hawk DLX is not really a true 250 And the kpx Is actually more closer in spec other than that tell me why is there more parts available for the hawk Compared to the kpx? I’m really curious to see what everybody’s opinion is

KPX hands down. assemble, put oil and gas, then get on it and ride. The bike runs and drives perfect right out the crate. No mods needed. No sprockets to change. It will run 70+ mph. Also has a 2 year/12,000 mile parts warranty which both American Lifan and Venom will honor. Right now they are on sale at Venom. https://www.venommotorsportsusa.com/...-fuel-injected
Use the JERRYHAWK250 discount code and get another $50 off.

The DLX is peanuts compared to the KPX. If this is your first Chinese bike I would get the KPX, the warranty and build quality alone blow the DLX out of the water.

The Hawk has greater parts availability because it is a widely sold motorcycle that uses off the shelf generic parts and it's been out longer than the KPX. I own a Hawk 250 clone that's engine swapped myself.

The price of the KPX is now so close to the price of the DLX, that it makes the KPX the obvious choice. Usually when you see what appears to be a much cheaper price on the DLX, they charge a shipping fee of around $400.00. I like the CG motor just fine, but I can't see buying a new Chinese dual sport with a CG, when their are so many OHC options available now. The KPX, and DLX both have the federal highway approval plaque, were as the RPS Hawk, and Templars, and others don't, but most seem to get them registered, however some run into trouble. I have bought 2 new Chinese dual sport bikes ( a Brozz, and KPX )and both times the fact that they were federally approved for road use was a sticking point. I seen a post a couple spots below this thread, and it seems like Venom is having a Black Friday sale pretty soon, so you may end up getting a Super deal on a KPX.

No this would make my third Chinese bike, kpm,Kpr and mabe the kpx. I’m still on the fence about getting it. But I still got time to ponder my decision.

Either/or ?

Gotta say the new Paladin is better. What a great engine! I've driven the KPX. It's OK, but Paladin has essentially the same features plus more than 30hp. The head flows great with four valves, and temperature control is stable with that liquid jacket and radiators. Also it is not quite as tall. I took a ride today and it's impressive now that I've worked the kinks out of it. I think it had a sticky injector, but it runs great now!

KPX is the way to go, that new bike out is to new to tell if it any good yet.

Why not a Templar 250X? The adjustable suspension, counter ballanced engine and WAY less $

I have the Hawk DLX. It's not too bad, but I hear nothing but good things about the kpx. Admittedly, I've never been on the kpx, but if the prices are close, the kpx is more bike for the $.

The KPX is about $700-1000 more than the Hawk DLX, depending on where you buy it. And to upgrade the Hawk to its best, but cheapest, upgrade route, you're looking at about $100 in parts at most. (Sprockets, chain, plug, oil). Can also spend $500 on a big bore kit and ECU tune if so inclined.

But for a lot less money you can have the DLX as a great town bike that can do limited highway.

The KPX can do highway out of the box and doesn't need any upgrades unless you want them.

I personally went with the Hawk DLX because I wanted to build it myself (ordered it crated from TX Motorsports), and I wanted to fool around with trying different upgrades. So, saving $700 from the start lets me feel better about tearing it apart and replacing things. It's a toy, so I wanted to fiddle.

Just my 2 cents.
