Good place to start with idle screw VM26

I put a VM26 on my 200cc 163fml dirt bike. Any suggestions on where to start with the idle screw? Ex: 2 turns out from tight or way looser? thanks!

I checked my stock carb and it looks like I can use the bracket from it to mount the choke cable. Ordered a vm26 and jet kit.

So the stator is bad, would my bike stay running? I have had to jump it because the battery isn't charging.....but can ride for hours with no problems and if it dies, I can kick start it with one...

I adjusted the valves a long time ago on my 125. This bike only has 700 miles on it (sat for years). Did your valves need to be adjust when the bike was new?
