I'm from uk also, I don't own a Chinese bike, but am in the process of fixing one up for a mate, and enjoying it so much that I'm now finding myself scanning eBay for a cheap 200cc+ Chinese enduro to play about with as a 2nd bike!
Don't go to easy when running in your engine. Although dealers and manuals always recommend staying at half throttle during the running in process, your rings will actually bed in better if you use the full throttle range when running it in. Don't sit there with the throttle wide open, but don't baby it either if you know what I mean
