It was more about getting the drum brake back in position. I was able to rotate the drum down put in the arm on the splined shaft then rotate it back up in to position and that seemed to work well.

On a side note, there is about an inch of free play on both the too and bottom of the chain when it is up on the jack. Do you all think this is sufficient?

When my big old self sits on it then it really slackens up, lol.
