Definately need to remove a 2-3 links probably. I bought a chain breaker for about $20. It is easy to use and will make getting the chain right easy.

Swapping the rear sprocket will take you about 45 minutes or so. Put some loctite on those bolts. My dad helped me with the big snap ring that holds it on. We tied some wire to each end and pulled int each direction.
