My Zongshen built X-Ranger 200 is going to get a new 18" rear wheel too. My plan is to use an 18" Jetmoto rear wheel on the front (since I already have it) and move the 2.15" Zongshen wheel to the rear of the bike. The rear Jetmoto wheel is 1.85" wide. The stock 15" rear wheel makes tire selection difficult on the bike. These sizes are just too odd. My bike came stock from the dealer with knobbies. I've tried to find replacements knobbies but as far as I can tell none are available. Another thought is to buy a new 19" Jetmoto wheel for the front. The 19" front tires are much easier to find.
My X-Ranger gets terrible fuel mileage. Combined that with the small tank, and a range of only about 75 miles is possible. To extend the range my plan is to remove the stock rear rack and build a bigger rack to carry an extra fuel can on. Since this bike will only be used off-road and for short local trips this will be enough for me.
jdnva,
Your bike sounds great! Can you post some pictures of it? Here's one of mine.
I'll be adding my new Moose Racing handlebars and a set of Moose Racing handguards to the X-Ranger soon. The forks will be swapped for a set of full sized inverted forks from another chinabike. This will raise the front a few inches to level it. I need to get the bike back and start working on it.
