Don't forget that the importer in Mexico made a deal with Zongshen based on some currency standard...then the peso-to-dollar cratered. It could be that the exchange rate of $ to peso is a big component of the difference between what CSC charges and the price in Mexico. It's a complicated arrangement. CSC also had to eat the cost of US EPA compliance. The Mexican bikes probably cannot be brought over into the US.
