Today I think my boy got overexcited when a neighbors grand kid and his friend met us on the gravel road out front of the property. They were on a 110cc Honda dirt bike and a Yamaha 350cc ATV. Before we lined up to race(that's what they wanted and to check out our quads) the others were revving the motors. So my boy decided to follow suit and while the RPM's were still elevated went to shift into forward. You guessed it, I hope..major grindage

Then he proceeded to do it one more time later on in the ride
. I told him if he breaks his transmission by continuing to "forget" what I explained to him when he first got it, he's done.
Will the two episodes of gear grindage have caused detrimental damage to these CVT trannys. Bar anymore incidents, man I hope not.
