About 1/4 mile into a planned very long ride I stopped to look out over the lake and noticed a hot oil smell. Looked down to see my boot dripping with oil. One of the oil cooler lines had pulled off the barbed fitting on the valve cover pumping out about a pint of oil. Rode back to camp, reattached the hose, topped up the oil, and continued the ride. Now my boot definitely won't rust.
