How can you be positive any bike can be registured? :P
They might ship a different bike?
The b&m store could go under the day after you buy.
That used bike might have a crash brand on it.
The more you know going into the purchase helps, but you NEVER know.
When you buy your first bike, chances are you don't know much about bikes. Even if you do wrench, if you can't get parts, you're out of luck, ask SamM. Add the problems of getting a bike and mucking around for a month to get it registered, when you're wife's in tears. Then if you do have to get it serviced at a bike shop, the mechanic might or might not want to work on it. The lack of cc's and horse power. How can anyone look at the link to some website and say, "yep that's worth it?"
The reason I got my bike? If I needed a part for my chinabike, I could get in the car drive 25 minutes, and Daymak would rip that part quick from another bike. Home in an hour. If I had to search, and wait for shipping for a part, I would have walked away.
If you do go ahead and purchase a chinabike. You could always try what I did. I wrote on the bill of sale, "If this bike can't be plated for what ever reason, this sale is void." And had the vendor sign it. Might give you a leg to stand on if things go sour. Maybe not. My only advice to any one new concidering to purchase any bike. Be patient, and make friends with guys like Bruce from EJ cycles. You will need parts, there is no "IF".
