I don't know the forest service regs for sure but I saw somewhere that the Forest Service considers stock (unaltered) bikes to have a spark arrestor. I have heard tell of a poke test where they put in a rod in the tail pipe to see if it will bottom. I wonder if the stock DLX and Xpect have already a spark arrestor installed? In my Hawk it was a piece of window screen size mesh held in place with pieces of wire.
