I have been kind of curious to try this guy out though. It's more of a small bag with a phone pouch than an actual phone holder, so it can also be used to store small things.

That's the exact one I have on my rxb. I like it, but have yet to try it on trails. It's basically a notched, click into place type of connection. The notches are not that long/deep, so I have my doubts on anything rough. And the clamp barely fits around my bar. I really had to force it. Being just regular plastic It felt like it was going to break, but I got it on there ( I like it mounted in the center.)

It is cheap, though. And waterproof. And I'm able to run a charger cable out the side through the zipper so it can stay connected.
