I think you have an ignition issue. It may be that you have a rev limiter. I know my lifan does not :wink: .

Check to make sure the plug wire it not shorting out someplace and that the wiring connections for the CDI and Coil are are clean and good. Mine was laying on the exhaust.

Also the plug gap doesn't sound right, but I may be wrong on that. If you have another plug try it too. Plugs can short out.
