I was the person who drilled thru the hub and bolted the sproket solid to it just like on my Suzuki Dr 200. This was the best thing for my sloppy rear sproket. I still reinstalled the clip ring as a extra safety measure. I had several failures at first with the mod due to using too thin a grade 5 bolt that actually would bend and snap. These bigger grade 5 bolts are stronger and have given me 1500 mi with no problems. Drilled them to the actual size of the threaded slip pins smoothe end. Used JB-weld to secure and lock in each bolt on the inside of the hub. If It didnt work I knew Id be buying a new rim. Chris.
