Zongshen Sierra 200GY-2 Side Plastic Mod
Every Zong owner knows that the left side plastic on this motorcycle hinders easy access to the fuel petcock. I usually leave my fuel petcock in the “on†position, unless I need to switch to reserve. Therefore, I have procrastinated making the fuel petcock more accessible.
Last week I finally decided to modify the left side plastic on my motorcycle. Using a common utility knife, I easily made the desired cut in less than a minute. Here is a “before†photograph of the unaltered side plastic covering the fuel petcock. Here is an “after†photograph showing the greatly improved access to the fuel petcock. If you haven’t done so already, go ahead and modify the left side plastic. This plastic is very easy to cut, and it is almost impossible to screw up this simple modification. I consider it a genuine pleasure to have much easier access to my Zong’s fuel petcock. Spud

Odd that they made the plastics that way. Great solution to the problem and so easy too.
