Hello from north Alabama
New Hawk owner here. I actually made my introductory post in "2019 Hawk" under Dual Sport/Enduro, but figured I might as well post here too. I've had (and still have) a few Chinese motorcycle engines that I have put in old Honda frames, but my '19 Hawk is my first full Chinese bike. I like it.
I can't see myself paying $5k+ (or even $1k for that matter) for a "modern" bike that lacks even a kickstarter, and has the added complexity of fuel injection and the fuel pump and computerized controller that necessitates. I'll take a simple carb, simple AC cdi, kick starter and the ability to run without a battery over all that. I love the pushrod CG engine, too. It was a major selling point to me, for the Hawk. In fact I already had a Chinese CG engine that I bought to put in a 1972 Honda frame. As for the name: My Hawk is black, and I also have a .45 caliber Ruger Blackhawk. So that username was a no-brainer. |

Welcome to here! I used to have the so-called 'New Super Blackhawk' in .44. Most accurate firearm I owned until I got a great deal on a SLR95 rifle.
