Turn signals failure on TBR7

I did not like the garbage truck back up sound when ever the turn signals were used so, some silicone caulking was accidentally added to the sound port in the flasher assembly. I am not sure why this would make any difference because there is a small piezoelectric beeper that would not really to have access to the air, however, a few days after this modification, I noticed that cars acted like they did not notice I was turning, then I noticed that the turn signals were not working.

OK. Went to Autozone and bought the least expensive flasher relay. It failed because the TBR7 uses LED's. Then the least expensive electronic flasher was tried. Still nothing.

I opened up the OEM unit and clipped the piszo and retried it. No flash.

I opened up the signal switch on the handlebar, checked the voltage at the the flasher and the gray wire that feeds the switch showed 12 VDC however this wire showed full voltage until it was switched on then dropped to 0.7 VDC.

The Autozone flasher dropped the voltage to .15 VDC. I am guessing it is because of the power the LED's take and the zone flasher needed a jumper.

I see no visible wire damage and as of late it is mostly on road usage.

The other anomaly is the headlight switch that will show a dim light when off and completely disconnected. (Yes I tore the switch apart, not impossible to reassemble.) I figure it is caused by feed back from the "controller" or it may be related.

The circuit seems stone ax simple... Help?

Check the continuity of the ground for the flasher. May be a bad ground.

Flasher has a black wire feeding it.
Once you turn on a indicator voltage will flow on/off at the output gray wire 12v or so and depending on which indicator is on that gray at the switch becomes either light blue or orange ( Left or Right)
Black is ign 12v always if ign on, start there n mesuare from that on

No ground at flasher - it is only the 12v positive wire as such.
Black in is ign on, gray out is when ind is turned on then at switch the gray becomes left or right turn sign which is light blue or orange ( I don't recall which is L or R)

USB or what ever can get power from black wire by flasher - might be useful

You are correct sir. Was looking at the wiring diagram from my phone. Maybe check the ground for the turn signal lights.
