New Rider in AL with questions
Hello all,
I am from Atlanta Georgia but recently moved back with family in alabama. I recently purchased a bike with a zongshen motor in hopes of making it road legal to get back to atlanta. I bought the bike for 150 from someone who said it was a Yamaha TTR. I have found motor number which is ZS169FML. Vin is *13001808* listed under motor number. Even though there was no gas tank with the bike I was able to hook up a soda bottle with a tube to the carburetor and today have confirmed that the bike runs! I was glad to know I was not ripped off. However there are a few missing parts to the bike that I believe I need to fix in addition to the gas tank to make it road worthy/legal. My MAIN QUESTION is if someone could help me identify the bike make and model and tell me if it is a copy of a bike like yamaha ttr. That way I can download schematics and order needed parts. I have included pics for identification and a couple pics of areas that still need parts like the filter that should be at the back of the carburetor. Thank you for all the help! |

That engine http://zse.cc/productsdetail.aspx?Pr...=364&CateID=43 (Regular Honda clone is http://zse.cc/productsdetail.aspx?Pr...=366&CateID=43) That *?* isn't VIN. Just engine's serial #. VIN is some 17-digit thingy that starts w/ L (in theory) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vehicl...#Country_codes 12-17 is unique to each vehicle (ie. Don't tell it in public)
