2017 Coolster 125cc Auto to Semi auto swap

Has anyone swapped an auto to semi auto on one of these ATVs? I am looking at an engine on ebay, and it looks like the same brand of engine that my coolster uses but is an Semi auto 3 speed w/reverse.

Is this a plug and play swap?

If not, would I need to modify the existing wire harness in the ATV?

Do I need to buy a new harness?

My assumption is that there shouldn't be much difference with the electronics, and I should just be able to R & R the engines.

Here's the engine I am looking at.

I purchased the engine today, and I'll report how it goes. I looked at the wire connections on my existing engine, and they look like they are the same as the engine pictured. The engine also looks to be the same brand. Hopefully this will be a plug and play.

It likely will, but if not, you can transplant the stator from the old motor to the new one. Hopefully the starter is in the same location, to minimize difficulty.

You're gonna be pleased with how much faster the quad is with the new engine. The auto version was a centrifugal clutch that was not CVT. Three forward gears makes it much quicker.

I wanted to confirm that the engine was a 100% direct plug and play. I ended up ordering the same engine in the link but bought it directly from Coolster. I only needed to make a small idle adjustment.
